If Carra and Skrtel start this one I will scream, not of joy.

They would be slaughtered in the air at set pieces. It is their biggest threat by a mile.

Skrtel is rubbish marking at set pieces and Carra is simply not good enough in the air. It is strange how much better Skrtel is in the air at attacking set pieces.

I would start Agger and Coates. Would take care of their more or less only threat.

I think you're going to scream. Dalglish is unlikely to favour two defenders who have never (or hardly ever - can't recall) played together as a central partnership and who both just played a full game on Wednesday over two experienced partners who played only 45 minutes each in midweek.

If Suarez is on the bench then Carroll finally has a chance to step out of the shadow. With Agger back we don't need a second biting midfielder (Spearing/Henderson) covering our back four:

Carroll to score from Adam's set pieces. Want to play Downing to supply Carroll but he's so rubbish at the moment that I reckon Bellamy/Enrique combo should be sufficient.

Kenny has very rarely chosen Skrtel over Agger, I'd be surprised. Know he did last week but he was just coming back to fitness then and played v Rangers.

I'll be disappointed if Carroll does not start, he linked up a bit with Suarez against stoke and i think it helps Luis to have somebody beside him up front. I think the team are starting to learn that you don't always need to play to andys head, if there's one thing I find amusing it's the myth IMO that downing needs to play if Carroll is or vice versa and that's why I would like to see bellers or maxi on the left.
