Just watched that again. What a shocker

No wonder Kuyt was so pissed, all he had to do was tap it to Kuyt and it would have been a tap in for Kuyt

        Like for like, quality Decreased?
I would say that Bellamy is replacing Ngog and Henderson is an extra, whom I thought would be cover for Gerrard but seems to be getting played in preference for Kuyt

        Enrique replaces Konch.

You can argue Torres - Carroll but both are clearly out of form at the moment and Carroll has age on his side and we made a profit from the swap anyway.

I think the squad is definitely stronger and the new players are better than the players sold.

My concern is still the finishing. I've said the same thing a couple of times, we are creating the opportunities so I cannot understand why everyone is picking on Downing, Henderson and Adams.

Today was different though, I don't think we created nearly as many chances as we have in other games that have ended in frustrating draws. It was a bad performance all round.

For me Downing has to stop drifting to the right, Kuyt should be starting on the right and Henderson should be playing in the middle either with Lucas or behind Suarez whilst Gerrard is injured.

Adams should be fighting Lucas for his place at home games when we should be more attack minded and against Henderson when we expect tougher games where set pieces are going to be key.

We need the owners to dig deep into their pockets again in January for another world class striker and a world class play maker.

Adams should be a squad player, not a banker starting 11 and Henderson should be someone getting eased into the squad in the centre, not a banker starter on the right.

For me Downing is still a banker starter on the left because he has no competition for his place. I'd like to see Maxi get more chances as an impact sub but Kenny doesn't seem to want him at the moment.

I think we should be making our substitutions earlier but then today we made one at half time that didn't really make any sense to me. It seemed defensive when Swansea pass the ball around in their own half, that's their style.

Adams should have come off for Kuyt at half time and Henderson moved into the middle IMO.

I'd love it if Kenny could explain his thinking behind his starting sheet, formations and substitutions instead of the usual soundbites which are starting to get a bit boring to be honest. I'd like to understand the strategies and tactics.

Would that be giving away too much to the opposition to communicate those thoughts to the fans?

I'm worried how Suarez is going to be after Christmas, will he be able to last the full season after a busy summer? Surely he's going to have to be rested at some point. That makes it even more important to get another world class striker in January.

i dont want to join in with all the moaning... but
why does adam just blast one into outta space as soon as he gets within 30 yards of the goal. he looked good at blackpool, but is that really what we need

We are 3 points off the pace creating more chances than any other team in the Lg and we played a utterly superb team who have the best passing rate in the lg, with a keeper who made some amazing saves .. it was a good open game, the officials had a good game .. its not the end of the world people . two clean sheets on the bounce unbeaten in 7 going into games against teams who try a little more to beat us which should suit us better. Hopefully Stevie G will be back after the break and we can give a better account of ourselves .. but lets not forget how far we have come and how long there is to go

I was excited to see Kuyt come on. I thought that Kenny would do as you stated above, replace him with Adam and move Dirk on to the wing.

Particularly since Adam was on a yellow and looked like he was in the mood to collect another one. If that was to happen then it would have been game over. Also the times that Henderson has played in the middle he has offered a bit going forward and impressed.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

The problem is that Kenny said himself how they would play and he did nothing absolutely nothing to stop it. You can't stop a pass and move team by playing Adam and Lucas in the middle in a 4-4-2, you simply can't and he did it anyway.

That is simply idiotic. That is yet another big big mistake by Kenny. If he had played 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 then we would have been able to press them earlier stopped them playing around the ball.

As I said, he knew how they play and did nothing to stop them playing the ball around.

A big big mistake that most probably cost us two points.

We could by the way be six points off the pace if Spurs win their two games and that with games against City and Chelsea coming up. We could easily after those two games be 10 points or so off the pace.

The problem has been our finishing, we've created alot of chances but not converted enough of them. If we can improve our finishing we'll be much better off.

Most of our chances aren't great chances though and most are created by Suarez by himself. Our team creativity is average.

I think we had a decent number of chances yesterday and very few of them were created by Suarez. There were a few clear cut ones, the Carroll one early on you couldn't really ask for a more clear cut chance than that and obviously Carroll should have put it away.

If we had someone on the end of Carroll's knock downs we'd have created quite a few more chances yesterday through team work. That was one of the most frustrating things yesterday - I thought that Carroll won alot in the air and knocked things down into good areas but no one was anticipating it.

We are indeed a one man team. Kenny spent £100m making it

How the f*ck will we be able to put any kind of good early pressure with Carroll and Adam in the eleven that isn't mobile enough to do it, I don't know.

That is mistakes like that that cost us points and make teams like Swansea and Norwich believe they have a chance to get something out of the game before it started.

They know that Kenny won't stop them playing their game. They know how we will play. They set up a tactic and we seem to have no tactic at all.

Everyone could see what kind of difference Bellamy and Kuyt made because of the early pressure they could make. Suddenly we stopped them playing the ball around and started to create chances because of it.

I love how Rafa's spend is always "net" yet Kenny doesnt get the same treatment. Hypocrite.

Yes, how many other clear cut chances? We talk about making a lot of chances, but a lot of them are not great chances.
