Well i would've expected Arsenal to win comfortably, even allowing for Wigan's form. If i was betting i'd have probably gone with Arsenal on a -1 even.

Arsenal's form is hardly bad and be honest, you wouldnt have put your money on Wigan to beat United and Arsenal in the space of 6 days

No you wouldn't last, but having beaten Man Utd, I would have expected them to give Arsenal a tough game, so I expected it to be a close game. It's one I wouldn't have put money on either way to be honest.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I reckon it will be Arsenal & Newcastle taking the last two CL spots.

I agree, I just hope Barca turn up against Chelsea next week.

IF Chelsea win the CL, the team finishing 4th will miss out.

It could still be Arsenal. It would be funny if Newcastle finish 3rd and 4th place Arsenal miss out!

Is anyone glad we're not in the race for 4th now?

Surely it would be even funnier if Chelsea don't win the Champions League

Yep. And then both Spurs and Chelsea finishing outside 4th

That, I think we can all agree, would be hilarious

I think Est would crash and die under the strain of it all if we were.

I'd still rather be in it. I think Real would beat Chelsea, and Bayern would have a great chance in their own stadium. The Chavs do seem to have that "our name is written on the Cup" feel about them though, but I'd still rather be in there with a chance.

I'd taken the lid off & everything but they still refused. Even though they SELL them inside. I vowed to the steward that relegation would be their karmatic punishment.
That reminded me of a Frank Skinner story about his beloved WBA.
He said he used to go to every home match with his Dad then one day his Dad died so after the cremation he thought that as a mark of respect he would take the urn containing his dad's ashes to the next home game. When he arrived at the turnstiles the stewards refused him permission to take the urn into the ground.

He then went on, " It's a bad state of affairs when a lad can't take a bottle of Pop into a football ground"

The same people who scoffed at my suggestion Newcastle could get 4th at first half of the season equally dismissed my prediction that Villa would go down, they are 3 points off the drop now with a horrific run in
