The Race for Champions League Places

I fully expect the two Manchester Clubs to get 1 and 2. And Newcastle are in their for the time being.

    Next 5 games:

    Liverpool

    Chelsea (away),
    Man City (home),
    Fulham (away),
    QPR (home),
    Aston Villa (away)

Arsenal Norwich (away), Fulham (home), Wigan (away), Everton (home), Man City (away)

Chelsea Liverpool (home), Wolves (home), Newcastle (away), Man City (home), Wigan (away)

Tottenham Hotspurs Fulham (away, in-hand), Aston Villa (home), West Brom (away), Bolton (home), Stoke (away), Sunderland (home)

Newcastle Man City (away), Man Utd (away), Chelsea (home), Norwich (away), Swansea (home),

If we're not careful we could drift over the next month or so. Newcastle will fade away, hard to know with us lose against ****e and prob win against the top teams. We are an enigma.

Inconsistency and puzzling results is no surprise for LFC fans over recent years.

Not a chance on current form. Unless the system evolves or the players suddenly work it out, we'll be 6th or 7th

        We won't get fourth.

i'd take 5th and the fa cup to be honest. trophies mean more to me than qualification for a basically **** tournament that only gets good in february at the knock out stage. i'd rather we got both obviously. no europe though has its bonuses, like i get my life back mid week.

It's such fine margins. With a proper number 9 on form we'd be right up there now and strong favourites. If we do the business in the Jan window the second half of the season could look different.

Shouldn't this thread be in General Football?

If you think the race doesn't include us, maybe.

if you liken this race to that of an egg & spoon, we've dropped our egg.

Failure to get back into the CL for us is very, very bad, it'll just sink us in mediocrity.

Its scary to think it but if we don't get back there soon we could very well be a Europe League team every year. We can't live off past glorys forever when trying to buy big name players.

If we don't qualify for the CL I reckon Suarez and Reina will be off. It would be a disaster for the club.

I can't believe anyone can seriously want us to not be in the CL, it is vital.

Reina wont be going anywhere until we're finished with him now, his options are very, very limited. And he loves it here anyway.

Would have thought Suarez would give us more than 18months too.
