Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

It is a must that we win at least one of the games against City or Chelsea or it is bye bye fourth.

Our two most important games this season is coming up. Not even an FA Cup final would be as important.

We simply must get at least one win against City and Chelsea.
As i said at the time, you were being unnecessarily negative in assuming we'd lose against Chelsea and City. I asked why not be positive, considering we won both corresponding games last year.

We now have that one win, which 'we simply' had to get, according to you.

Bit of positivity now from you and praise for Kenny, perhaps?

tough one this year, its vital we finish fourth to keep suarez and reina, do we gamble and blow 40 million knowing if we get in, we'll get it back and keep our best players or stick with what we have

I dont think not spending in January automatically means we'll fail to get into the top four - but i think we should definitely buy a finisher in the transfer window. It would turn so many draws into wins and the ability to do that, in this league, is priceless.

            who said otherwise

lets sign a 40 million pound striker
if we get cl then that funds him
if we dont the suarez cash funds him

Nobody said it, but i didnt want to imply "we have to sign a striker or we wont get into the top 4"

                        It's a good job you're not a scout then.

I can't see that happening. We've already got Carroll, Suarez, Kuyt and Bellamy and it's hard enough getting them game time.

We were scoring goals for fun last year and have only really lost Meireles, so no reason why we can't do the same this year once we hit form. We have a few players low on confidence and we've had a bit of bad luck, but that should be something that can sort itself out without having to resort to the transfer window.

That's not to say that I wouldn't love us to go out and splash the cash on an alternative to Carroll or a player of Suarez' quality, but unless we get hit bad by injuries I can see Kenny showing faith in the players he signed.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

if only we had £35 million to spend on a world class striker that will bang goals in for fun!!! i still hurt from that waste!

Spurs will fancy that lot as should we if we can nail the home form, barring City away Arsenal should do alright.

Chelsea got a few tricky games coming up

I can see us going ahead of Newcastle and chelsea on paper.

Mind you when a list of fixtures like this comes up we always make the games look hard and manage to take one step forwards and then two back.
