You would hope to score one and the odds are in the favour of the taker, but there is a keeper there too.

There's a keeper in one-on-ones too, a striker should still score.

If the idea of a keeper being there means you shouldnt score, then no goals should ever be scored because there's always a keeper in goal

You would expect to score more often than not, but there are clearly others factors that affect it and the keeper is clearly one of them.
