It's this. Nothing to do with what playing at Anfield 'means' to our players, the desire and effort is there (in 99% of cases) but the guile and quality is what has been lacking.

Luckily, Arsenal arent the kind of side who parks the bus and Chelsea are woeful enough at the back that even bus-parking doesnt make them solid.

Yep, we dont need to produce anything incredible, just better than the ratio we've produced so far.

They have earned the right to be considered at this stage of the season, a bit of luck and they've got every chance. Outsiders but they are still pushing and with the way Us, Arsenal and Chelsea are going its not too far off.

I'll happily 'stick my neck out' and categorically state that Newcastle have absolutely no chance of finishing 4th.

I wouldnt. It's not as if any of they're rivals are consistent.

When push comes to shove, someone will find the consistency and it wont be NUFC.

They still have to play away to Arsenal, Swansea, Chelsea and Everton. Plus they have us and City to go to their place as well as the derby vs a rejuvinated Sunderland.

                                They wont do enough.
