Sure, but our disappointment must be borne out of not winning it rather than not finishing 4th. We expect to challenge for the title and that in itself should be the minimum expectation.

And the owners need to back the boss as they have already for us to achieve this.

For me, if Kenny goes, it will be down to getting one major signing wrong. We lack a finisher, because he wasted £35m on a striker who doesn't suit his system. He lost his best striker in Torres and replaced him with a dud.

I remember when Rafa got the boot. That was his own fault as well. Even more so really. In his case he underminded Alonso and made him want out. Then when he lost his most vital midfield component he replaced him with a dud. An injured Alberto Aquilani.

Had Rafa replaced such an important player with someone even close to his level, we'd have finished 4th and he'd still be in a job. I think I'll believe the same of Kenny if he ends up stepping down come the end of the season.

Despite everything else, a manager lives and dies by how his signings perform.
      Forwards.......

We expect to be improving, not challenging for the title this year.

I am very happy with the progress, overall we are on a firm footing, its frustrating because we could have been so far ahead were we are now, but bad luck, poor form and generally bedding in a lot of players at the same time it has not quite worked out for us that way.

But hey we can all enjoy our football, pressure is off, we have won a cup, we are in europe next season, we are in the FA Cup, and we will try hopefully at making a fist of it getting this 4th spot unlikey as it now seems.

Summer time comes, a few tweeks and hopefully, 1 or 2 players from a vastly talented youth set up can jump up to the 1st team next year.

We ****ing blew it though because we are a much better side than Chelsea and Arsenal ... not sure about Newcastles best 11 when they are on form

We aren't, both teams may have had bad spells (especially Chelsea atm, who's bad run btw, is not as bad as ours currently is, we are currently 16th in form over the last 10 games) but you don't up 10 points behind a team purely on look. The problem this season is that we haven't gone forward.

We have games we should be capable of winning and if we went on a massive win streak like last season then its possible. Winning the FA Cup would certainly soften the blow of missing out. If it does become mathematically impossible then I'd look to bring in some of the younger attacking lads as they haven't had many chances yet. Possibly Sterling and Suso. Give them a game. Can't do any harm, we are already in the Europa League and we may discover that somebody from the reserves is ready to make the step up.

So all these nay-sayers - what do you want?

You want Kenny sacked, yeah? Just say it and then at least we'll all know where we stand.

I want someone else to have been appointed, but that's obviously water under the bridge and I dont way him sacked now. He's here and he gets the chance. I want him not to waste tens of millions in the again in the summer, to buy specialist players with some predigree for particular positions, eg another DM, and I want him to improve his use of subs. Hopefully those things will happen.

No drama, just curious - Kenny's not doing what some people want - and IMO he'll be his own man and do what he thinks is best.

So if he doesnt do what you think are the right things, then you'd obviously want him gone and someone else in who does...no?
