Skrtel and Agger is our best CB pairing for me. They're both mobile and quick enough that they dont need the midfield sitting on top of them to cover for a lack of pace. This means we can pressing higher up the pitch, which was a big factor in the game today. We are an excellent side when we press as we did today.

Craig, I think you are being very disingenuous towards Rafa in quoting those stats, Chelsea were pretty much at the height of their powers during Rafa's reign, as for under Houllier, I didn't realise our record was that bad.

He is still a very very good option to have off the bench especially when we need to grind games out and need an option off the bench.

Fabulous stuff from Glen, i imagine he really enjoyed that against his former club, i hope he can maintain his fitness because when he first signed he was in superb form and if he reaches that, he just brings a whole other dimension to our play!

Hendo was good when he came on, thats what i'd like to see more from him, nutmegging one and knocking it around the other, he has the ability to be a great all-round player, just needs to be a wee bit more consistent in his attacking play.

i hope the players get to keep their places for next weekend because they deserve it, especially skrtel/agger/bellamy/maxi

Yep I agree, Carroll is here for the long haul we need to use him correctly, untill we know how and who to play him against I am more than happy to see him starting from the bench regardless of his cost. I'd play him in the beer cup

They were just stats I'd seen, I'm not really making any specific point regarding them.

I think Luiz is a good defender but the problem is that he play together with Terry.

Get rid of Terry and replace him with a central defender that can play a high defensive line.

It is madness to play Terry in the system they play now. We used that weakness a lot against them.

They have the same problem we have/had. A legend that need to replaced. We have been able to do it. Will AVB get a fair chance to do it at Chelsea?

He is still miles better than Terry in the current system. The problem is that there is no way that AVB will be allowed to bench Terry, not a chance.

Bench Terry and he is finished IMO.

Will be interesting to see what Roman will do. Terry or AVB? I'm very sure that we will get the answer very soon because AVB know what he must do.

Luiz is not a centre back he totally lacks any form of positional discipline, and makes mistake after mistake. The best thing Chelsea could do is either convert him to a full back or play him in midfield, or basically anything that gets him away from central defence.

Defensively Luiz is a liability. As long as teams play to his weaknesses Chelsea will lose game after game.

That's all very well, but any top team with ambitions need a top quality striker, look at the difference Van Persie makes to a very average Arsenal side. We will need to buy in January IMO.
