We need to be better in front of goal, simple as that
It's not 'bad luck', we just havent been good enough.

I hope this win will help us kick on now.

How many times have you said that over the years?

I'm actually glad City are up next, rather than another promoted team.

Two big wins could really kick-start our season.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yeah, but then after that, we've got another annoying run of those really hard games against **** teams...

But Swansea and Norwich are not 'bloody good', not in any way, shape or form.

We're deluding ourselves if we pretend 2 points against those two at home isnt dreadfully poor. However, we've offset those dropped points somewhat with wins away at Chelsea and Arsenal, which is nice.

We still need to prove ourselves at home though. I think it'll come.

Honestly dont think it's luck - we hit the woodwork because we've missed the target. Likewise, consistently dropping home points against dross isnt bad luck, it's bad play. Luck is when it happens the odd time, not when it happens the majority of the time. As i say, hopefully we'll improve on it and i think we will - then, the dropped points will be the exception to the rule and you can partly put it down to luck.
Well we have a genuine difference of opinion then, Swansea are a sensational little football side, they were all over United for long stretches of the game they have the highest pass completion rate of the entire EPL, thats good in anyones book. Just because they are newly promoted and its little old Swansea does not automatically make them not good. If you watch them play, they play some truly lovely football. Norwich are a very well organised team managed by perhaps the most talented up and coming manager, they are a good side who will take points of the top six.

Sunderland was freakesh, we should have won that, same with United, I am ok with the Norwich and Swansea results.

Looking at the run up till Christmas with the exception of the Scum, (I have reverted to calling them that after the latest actions of Ferguson and Evra) we have very realistically the easier run in, against teams we should be able to beat, not to be confused with teams like Swansea and Norwich which have the potential to provide Bannana skins for every top team, no teams like QPR, Blackburn, Wigan, Fulham and Villa, with a bit of luck we could easily walk away with Maximum points from that lot, The game against City is a coin toss, we will need to be really on top of our game, they are so fluid going forward and immensely strong in the middle of the park.

Newcastle and Chelsea have tough tough schedules. Spurs are about to go through the Swansea, Norwich test and have 10 games to play in little over 1 month opposed to our 6

Also Spurs are without Magic Arry who I rate immensely and who's absence in the dressing room will be missed a lot. There biggest weakness ie lack of depth outside there best 11 is going to be tested over the next 4 weeks and 10 games. Personally I beleive we in a stronger position than Chelsea, Aresnal, Newcastle and Spurs.

Chelsea have a defense which has mistakes written all over it .. Luiz and Terry .. most teams will fancy having a go at them, Drogba is not the player he used to be, nor is Torres, nor is Malouda, Mikel was never that good to begin with and there manager has 3 years on the Job experience, playing in the toughest lg in the world bar none.

Newcastle will not keep pace, they will finish top half but they dont have what it takes to beat the top sides

Spurs if they can keep there first 11 fit will finish top 4, but with a team built so distinctly around speed and what I see as a real lack of depth, unless they dip into the transfer market in Jan with some real acquisitions, they could find themselves wanting in the 2nd half of the Season.

Arsenal, whilst looking a lot stronger, I am not convinced will have the bottle to grind out a top 4 spot this season

Harry Redknapp is back tonight Nicey.

And I genuinely cant agree that Norwich & Swansea are actually good, neither will take anything at Old Trafford, COM Stadium, Stamford Bridge, WHL or Emirates.

Sure Swansea play some nice football but so did Blackpool & so do the likes of Wigan.

Dropping the points is poor but in terms of general play we created more than enough chances to win those games (and Stoke!)

The ironic thing is that yesterday we created very few real chances yet won the game

We have to finish those lesser teams off though and that for me has been our problem for many years

This season the problem is even more obvious because we are creating enough chances to drub some of these but we are not clinical enough

The problem with this forum is that things are only ever black and white when its probably more likely to be several different shades of grey

For me the panic from some posters (over the last few weeks) has been laughable but equally to paint everything as rosey is delusional

We are a work in progress and we can definitely improve in a number of areas not least putting the ball in the back of the net

Personally I would class Swansea as a much much better side than both of those sides are there absolute best, the winger on the right hand side and there midget in the center of the park have genuine talent.

But hey ho, we did for sure let Swansea into the game in the 2nd Half and it is possible the one glarring area we need to work on, instead of soaking up pressure we should be piling it on ala the Scum
