Just watched the second half of the Chelsea game on the train this morning (courtesy of Mostar) an Carroll was much more involved than earlier. He had great knock downs, and layoffs. I really think he was unlucky not to score - had a great header saved.

Besides he requires attention when he is in the box and that will hurt them with Bellamy, Maxi and Suarez moving around and picking the holes.

I think people are trying to force themselves to think Carroll is good. I've seen nothing to suggest he is anything more than a tall version of Voronin, even when at Newcastle.

It's good we get behind him but I just can't see what his main skills are to warrant a world class transfer price. I don't like him as a person and I don't like him as a player either. Over rated and over priced tripe.

Not personally but I've lived in Newc for 12yrs now and am aware of his off field antics, bad company he keeps, constant drinking, nights out, arrogance and general bad attitude for someone in his position.

He's a bad egg.
