Surely we all remember our playing days when you had the opportunity to cleanly win the ball and throw yourself at the player?

I used to LOVE those. Jump in with relish knowing you would cleaning win the ball and hopefully follow through into the player.

That's what I think Jay did. Harsh red but just about justifiable from a referee that didn't have a great game.

TalkSport all about Liverpool this afternoon, on Drive..

TBF Durham seems to be backing Carroll and the team, asking what all the fuss is about..

        Crisis? What Crisis..

I call it a John Terry tackle - bit nasty, but legal.

Durham just said Suarez is the most selfish striker in world football, hence Carroll's poor run of form and lack of chances.

Still feel ****ing awful about everything that happened last night.....what a ******* game that was...gutted for the lads. Deserved so much more than a ****ing red card and no points.

Once again... the 6,000 Liverpool fans at Craven Cottage...

                No Appeal for Spearo

Not surprised, it's not worth the risk of incurring a further game's ban.

Reading through the thread it's hardly unanimous even amongst Reds that it shouldn't have been a straight red so I'm not surprised their will be no appeal.

I think the whole discussion about the red card is just a distraction from the real issue which is another game that we 'should have' won comfortably, another game where our strikers cannot score and neither can anyone else in the team and another example of how we seem to lack the guile to finish off teams that play not to lose rather than play to win.

We won't finish in the top four is the only teams we can beat are top 4 teams, we need to do the business with the lesser teams.

I really don't know what the solution is but something has to change. You cannot keep doing the same things and getting the same results (or lack of!).

Would this be the Suarez who created 2 good chances for Carroll last night, one hit at the keeper and the other airballed.

                          No you must be mistaken.

In the eyes of the British media Suarez is the cause of all evil and is capable of nothing good in the world. They must unite to rid the evil fiend from their shores.

We badly need a finisher in January.Torres,Fowler,Owen,Rush would all have put both of those chances away

                            Which Torres?

The one who played for us a couple of years ago or the one who plays at Chelsea?

I literally laugh out loud when i see the same person bemoaning how bad Carroll is, saying they'd like us to get Torres back.

Signing Torres back would be knowingly throwing money down the pan. He had a 3-4 yard headstart on Taylor at the weekend, who had a season ending injury and wasn't subbed yet, and Taylor managed to get goalside again.
