I've been this season against Sunderland, Norwich, City and today. All ****ing draws.

Haven't read the thread yet - too depressed. For the first time I can remember I left before full-time today. I did it because I thought "I'm so unlucky that if I leave we'll score". I left on 92 minutes, heard a couple of big oohs but obviously we didn't score.

Dunno if it's been mentioned (apologies if it's already been discussed) but Suarez's two poorest performances - possibly his only two poor performances for us - have been since the verdict, Wigan and today. Can't be a coincidence, can it?

      Random thoughts:

Andy Carroll seemed to be sporting a black eye? Again I felt sorry for him today. The goal he had disallowed *really* got him down. Mouthing at the ref - out of pure desperation - for ages afterwards, and slumped shoulders. He looks so depressed playing for us, it's hard work watching him.

Downing - dear God. A small section of the Kop chanted "there's only one Stewart Downing" at one point in the 2nd half, clearly in a bid to lift his confidence, but it didn't work. He looks miles out of his depth. Twice Suarez berated him and I lost count of the number of times Enrique looked at him in despair, bemusement or both. Downing never said anything back to either, he just hung his head. He's another who is painful to watch at the moment. Hate seeing blokes struggling and so obviously out of their depth in any walk of life, but when they're in a Red shirt and they cost £55m between them then it's really ****ing painful.

These hideous home draws against muck - far worse now than it ever was under Rafa (and it was one of the biggest criticisms of his time) - put so much pressure on us to get results away from home. We'd handled it well but the last two - Fulham and Wigan away - tells us we won't get away with it all season.

I heard Kenny said he was happy with the performance?
I feel sorry for Downing he always seems to get stick when we fail to win, his performances are usually average (or even poor) but I usually find other players often play as bad but don't get the same level of stick. I guess a large part of it is the price tag. I think he could easily have a goal and a few assists but he's been a bit unlucky, were this the case I think he'd be a more confident player and we'd certainly judge him differently.

I know this will sound crazy but I was encouraged by Andy Carroll today he could easily have had a hat-trick on another day, with him in the side we at least had a threat in the box, I think with a run of games (which he hasn't had yet) he'll get some fitness and match sharpness and will start scoring goals.

I mentioned this in other post but I don't think we played that badly, again we created quite alot of chances and we easily did enough to win the game, the problem being our finishing. I think the poor result gets us all moaning, but we are at least creating chances. I'd be more worried if we weren't creating chances. The problem is all season I've been thinking 'next game we'll get a few goals find some confidence and we'll start picking up the results (and points) we deserve. ...The problem being I've been thinking that all season and it hasn't happened yet

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Adam and Henderson were worse than Downing today but those two, especially Adam, have had plenty of good games. Bar the first couple of games...Sunderland and Arsenal...I can't recall Downing playing well. He's just producing the same stuff he's produced for the majority of his career, which is relentlessly mediocre guff. I don't want to scapegoat him, he's just not good enough for Liverpool. Never been close to a Liverpool player.

Rafa should come in as assistant, or director of football or something. Kenny, Clarke and Rafa would be unstoppable!

They don't never get stick, but they people play as badly as Downing but don't get nearly as much stick as him.

Today Adam for one. I thought he was very poor today, but from what I've seen today Downing has got alot more stick than Adam.

In previous games Henderson, Johnson, Kuyt, Maxi

4 goals in 7 games before the united game,1 goal in 11 since I read somewhere today.EDIT: Its 1 in the league since then,3 in total.

He's clearly being affected by it and I'd say he's probably knackered after the summer he had too.He was hardly clinical before all this **** started so the fact he's gone off the boil totally just magnifies how much we rely on him to score

Assume it's been mentioned that Blackburn were able to field only one (Samba) of their regular back 5 today ...and still we couldn't do the business. kin depressing.

It's also no coincidence that seemingly every keeper has a blinder against us. Every single keeper.

You know, I thought about that today as well. The thing is, I truly believe Rafa is superior to both Clarke and Kenny with regards to the details in management. I just don't think Rafa would take 'sharing' it, as much as I don't think Kenny would let Rafa give him advice. Now although Kenny said that he had been given advice by Rafa before Kenny was made manager, on the front line, I don't know if it would work. Pride and all that. Rafa is very single-minded and if there were a difference of opinion, who would get the last word?

It *could* work, but then, why wouldn't Rafa just do it on his own?

Enrique? Nah mate, he was our best player today.

But these players have also had good games, none of them have been constantly **** the way Downing has.

Aye, but in my humblest of, it's a combination of confidence and the tactics. We play the tactics, we try our best, it doesn't work, we slip into the problem with confidence in finishing etc. and we're back to square one. You can blame the players so much, but the management has to take these problems into consideration and actively participate in their eradication. If you're doing the same **** every game (creating lots of chances), but the end product isn't there, you can't just continue to blame the players and say 'Yea well we need a new striker in January'. Yes we might need a new striker, but I truly believe the management has to take what it's got NOW and find solutions.

when we paid stupid money for him in summer, I said to my maccam mate I would have preferred to take larsson over downing and had a £20 bet that Larsson would create/score more looks nailed on

although zero assists and goals for half a season is beyond a joke.
