Why shout "Manc *******" though? I could almost understand it if the 'supporter' shouted that at all of the Oldham players throughout the game, but not at this lad in isolation. We'll find out in due course, I hope it is just a misunderstanding.

To be fair to him it could have been an outburst caused by losing it through anger.Originally posted by Chrono View PostWhy the **** woud someone cry over anything said to them? Even if it was raciall abuse why on earth would the guy be crying? Obviously if he was racially abused then it's disgusting but I can't understand crying.

One thing I think is worth pointing out. IMO it is no coincidence that this has happened at a Cup game which was downpriced. These games always attract the "one game every 4 years " knobheads who don't know how to behave. You get this **** at Youth Cup matches too. I'll be prepared to wager that any culprit,if there was one, will be one of these people.I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

That's a good point, I remember the Man Utd liverpool youth game having massive problems with chants at the start of last year.Originally posted by wavydavy View PostOne thing I think is worth pointing out. I agree although I can see how a siege mentality could persuade normally sane people to boo. Also if you are at the back of the Kop all you might have seen is the guy shouting at someone at the front with no idea what prompted it. It would look like he was having a go at our fans which again would prompt the response.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostCome on, it's not that simple. It really isn't.
And the booing was disgraceful given the context.

Works both ways though. Apparently our behaviour in defending Suarez encourages some of of more dim-witted fans to think they can get away with racism.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostFFS, we've got to stop with this victim mentality.
Even if there is substance to it, there was a problem last night that needs to be handled. Dragging in other stuff really doesn't help, it just makes it look like we're making excuses.
And, I think, it encourages behaviour like we saw last night.
Authorities not punishing acts such as coin throwing give an impression that they condone it and will encourage others who think they can get away with it.
While racism, homophobia, sexism have no place in a game that wants to be inclusive it crazy to suggest than ANY form of verbal abuse is worse than physical acts of agression.Football without Origi is nothing

Not just the title that needs amending - the captions do too. Clearly the uploader has an agenda. If it is proven to be racism then it should be dealt with by the proper legal avenues.Originally posted by Shanks View PostFor those that haven't seen it yet..

Sadly not everyone is bright enough to think that. Newspapers run with stories about racist abuse and refering to guys in Suarez t shirts. Their faces are the ones that are clear and they could easily be recognised and harassed for nothing.Originally posted by PoolG View PostLook at the video. You can clearly see the Suarez lads in the corner while the Oldham player is having a go at some people right in line with the edge of the penalty area.
To look at the video is clear that it is nothing to do with them. But whats a few innocent men (and thousands of other spectators) having their names dragged through the mud because of the actions of a few people [and to sell newspapers]Football without Origi is nothing
