Yes our passing is better this year compared to the first part of the season before but I disagree that we being more adventurous would resolve those problems.

We tried that many times including today especially in the second half but we are not nearly good enough to win these tight difficult types of matches even when we push forward.

To me that issue is lack of quality in few areas and I think we'll see inconstancies in terms of results and performances to continue until we address that on permanent basis.

Utterly predictable result once that line up and formation was sent out against the mighty Stoke at home.

there were a few games on the trot where he looked like coming into his own, but he's regressed since then. probably been at least 2 months.

I think it has, he looks a little worn out.

Played some better passes today though which was encouraging to see.

Surely, the extra (extra) centre back was not needed and when we looked to bring Carroll on, we should have left Downing on to provide (hopefully) some sort of service for Carroll and taken off a defender (Carragher)?

It was amateurish in many ways.........particularly the way the game progressed as expected.

Adam made two of the best crossfield passes I have seen him do today, so I don't think its a problem with Adam.

Looking at the positives, I thought Gerrard and Henderson linked up well together in the middle of the park. To a lesser extent, Adam tried to provide some drive and played some great diagnol balls, but does look 'heavy' on the ball some times.

Kennys summer signings have taken us a huge step backwards. I really like Enrique and Henderson but the fact is when Kenny took over and we used the youngsters we were good to watch and played some lovely pass and move stuff.

We obviously have problems creating things against teams that come to get men behind the ball and defend. For me in these games we need to come from the start playing at a high tempo, play the ball about quickly, one and two touch passing, move players around, run off the ball and play quick little one-twos to create space. For me we don't do this anywhere near often enough, and it was evident today.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

well i say it ....dalglish will imo get one more season and not alot of money to show real progress if we don't get champions league by the end of next season the owners will look for a new manager...... annoying thing is we were within touching distance of top 3 had we converted our many chances this season

We have been better in other games this season but I dont think we're really that much more attacking than we were under Rafa. We're still set up to defend well and hold possession. We probably play with a bit more width but that's a question of style rather than philosophy I think.
Technically all the players look much more fluent under Kenny, and I think that's down to the training. Under Rafa we were far more regimented, we just had players like Gerrard and Torres that could do a bit of magic and pull the some goals out of the hat for us. No way I'd want to go back to the Rafa style of play.

not sure he will, we need to be improving and at this present moment we are stagnating.

We look turgid, nothing that a few players wont solve though.
