I was an advocate of his up until I talked to the season ticket holding Wolves fan where I work. He wasn't exactly complimentary, and said that there's a real divide in opinion on him in Wolverhampton. Doesn't work hard enough apparently, bad first touch, and when he's bad, he's absolutely ****ing terrible.

The lack of technical ability throughout the side is what worries me the most. Kuyt, Adam, Downing, Carroll..it's just not good enough. Fair enough they may have wanted out, but both Meireles and Aquilani are quality on the ball and they haven't been replaced adequately imo. We have zero link players, Maxi aside. We just plod our way to the final third then look utterly clueless

Our whole set up was designed to create space for Gerrard and Torres..our two best players. We had a system and it worked. We may look more fluent now but it's not as effective is it? Our players aren't good enough to play the way Kenny wants

If we had a fully fit Gerrard and Torres in our current side (under Dalglish) we'd be challenging City, Utd and Spurs for top spot in the Prem. Our current system isn't the problem, its our lack of real quality.

I know a season ticket holder at Newcastle that said the same about Carroll before we signed him.

Told me we'd be better off looking at that Leon Best, as he was the one that most of the barcodes thought would make it big.

Sounded like he didn't trust the midfield and attack so made sure we wouldn't concede.

Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, especially when Gerrard was ambling around the pitch in Rafa's last season and Torres was hobbled by injury problems. The team as a whole was easily stifled and regularly misfired, even in 08/09 we slogged our way through a lot of the games, and the rigidity wasn't enough to keep our destiny in our own hands at the vital moments.

The current team is by no means perfect, but I think things can be improved with a change in approach I've mentioned, although we still need quality reinforcements.

Thats what I said in my 1st post , If Agger was fit we would have played a back 4 im convinced if it
