I was an advocate of his up until I talked to the season ticket holding Wolves fan where I work. He wasn't exactly complimentary, and said that there's a real divide in opinion on him in Wolverhampton. Doesn't work hard enough apparently, bad first touch, and when he's bad, he's absolutely ****ing terrible.

I'm sorry Kenny......I hope that was said with tongue in cheek, cause that makes no sense.Originally posted by red g View PostLiverpool boss Kenny Dalglish explains his side's 5-4-1 formation in their drab draw with Stoke: "That change in formation was to do with what we had at our disposal. Daniel Agger has an injury we need to manage so it was forced on us a bit." And on the Reds' failure to break down the Potters: "We had plenty of possession but we need a wee bit more of an attacking edge up front. If you get an opening you need to take your chances and we could have been a little bit more creative with our possession.""I will make the boys feel your support"

Fair enough they may have wanted out, but both Meireles and Aquilani are quality on the ball and they haven't been replaced adequately imo. We have zero link players, Maxi aside. We just plod our way to the final third then look utterly clueless

Are you Matt in Bolton?
just read dalglishes interview then read this straight after !
From Matt in Bolton, via text: "On Dalglish's comments below, if Agger was injured then surely its a straight swap for Carra - why bring in 2 defenders? Very negative. We need a goalscorer and more pace throughout the side."
although its ****ing obvious

It doesn't.......but thankfully most things managers say after games is 70% bull****.Originally posted by -V- View PostComplete rubbish im afraid to say Kenny. If we had a fully fit Gerrard and Torres in our current side (under Dalglish) we'd be challenging City, Utd and Spurs for top spot in the Prem. Our current system isn't the problem, its our lack of real quality.Another MASSIVE game

And after Liverpool's failure to score for the seventh time this season, they have drawn seven of their 11 home matches. They have scored 24 goals in their 21 PL matches - their fewest at this stage of a top fight season in 20 years, since scoring 24 goals in old Division One in 1991-92.

I know a season ticket holder at Newcastle that said the same about Carroll before we signed him.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostI was an advocate of his up until I talked to the season ticket holding Wolves fan where I work. Told me we'd be better off looking at that Leon Best, as he was the one that most of the barcodes thought would make it big.The times they are a changin'.

Not really. Back then we had Alonso, Masch, Benny and a younger Kuyt as well. Now Gerrard and Torres would be be surrounded by mostly ****.Originally posted by Rigadon View Post

With the chances we've created this season, a fully fit Gerrard and Torres would have made a massive difference.Originally posted by cream View PostNot really. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, especially when Gerrard was ambling around the pitch in Rafa's last season and Torres was hobbled by injury problems. The team as a whole was easily stifled and regularly misfired, even in 08/09 we slogged our way through a lot of the games, and the rigidity wasn't enough to keep our destiny in our own hands at the vital moments.Originally posted by wiw View PostOur whole set up was designed to create space for Gerrard and Torres..our two best players. The current team is by no means perfect, but I think things can be improved with a change in approach I've mentioned, although we still need quality reinforcements.
