I've been impressed with Carroll and Downing. Just seems to be habbit people having a go at them now.

If I had any criticism it's that we need to be more attacking this half

Yep agree with Carroll looking better. Max definitely been the worst for me. Enrique on a bad run of form too.

We should be controlling the game at Anfield though, not really good enough.

We don't trust Carragher in the centre; he's just an extra body that - unfortunately - slows down our play from back to front. He's allowing Man Utd time and space in front of him and he needs to go to the ball.

Linking to the above, Gerrard and Maxi are coming to him to get the ball, meaning Henderson and Carroll are the only real options. We've gone long on several occassions, but Carroll needs to get it down as apposed to look for the flick-on, allowing Kelly and Downing to support him.

Talking of Kelly and Downing, a great performance from them both. Solid, yet a threat going forward.

On the left, Enrique is having a poor run of games; he was at fault for the goal and seems to refuse to close down Valencia or Rafael. Maxi seems a yard off the pace and is floating around aimlessly in places.

Gerrard is trying to pull the strings, but there is not much to go with. Henderson is having a good game, but we need to get to the byline and get the ball in the box, get around De Gea and have a few pops from distance.

We need to stop showing Man Utd respect and push on, they have a very weak midfield that we should be pressurising. We need to get the ball down and have a spell of possession, get Man Utd worked.

Downing has done well without actually providing a threat. Carroll needs to use his pea sized brain and stop flicking the ball needlessly, he's the furthest forward who is he flicking too?

This is probably the worst Man u team we have palyed in recent memory....Fckin lets get at them,pressure them high up the field and take off Carra....he is a no nonsense central defender and thats it...He should not play anywhere else on the pitch.

Handed them initiative by sitting off them, need to get in their faces. Agree on Carra, too ponderous for that position.

Start hassling them and get some shots in, keeper is very dodgy on corners but it won't matter if we aren't getting any.

I don't understand - you're 1-0 up & in control, then you just let the opposition have the ball who with so much possession will EVENTUALLY do something! It's not ****en advanced Mathematics as Black Adder would say. Jesus that has got to be one of the worst United sides to come to Anfield & we have literally given them a way back into the game ffs! Yes Enrique was mostly to blame for the goal but I think the finger can be pointed at the team imo...
