Ha ha nice! Ngoo is twice his height and I'm sure he'd win that one.

Toni Silva scored last night for Northampton.

look we didnt play badly and it wasnt a thrashing like the scoreline suggests. we didnt take our chances and they were three up within 50 mins. even at 2 nil we looked a proper threat through adorjan.

some of these lads are still very young. I think mclaughlin is 16, sterling and suso both 17 as well as adam morgan. I think this is an under 19 tournament and last night the ajax captain had played for them in the champions league proper so it was always going to be a very tough task against some very capable players.

theres no point in getting downhearted but this should come as a wakeup call for some of them. they the know the level required and what must be done to achieve it.

I turned over at 3-0 and it was pretty even, they were really clinical, we'd missed a pen, Suso hit the bar with a wonder strike and Coady missed a sitter.

It sounds like all of these lads are ready for the first team

2 wins from 8, not exactly inspiring

If it's true that we have been playing younger players than the other teams then that gives me hope. Huge difference between a 16 year old and a 19 year old in development.

It's not normal for a 16/17 year old to be good enough for the first team at almost any professional level. They have to be exceptionally talented to be able to make it into a first team at that age.

Is it just Ajax that played an exceptionally strong team or have all the teams we've played fielded much older lads than we have been using?

So is the final a double header with the 3rd place game first? Just asking as I have tickets
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no fellas its just a hunch.

hes been one of the standout players of this tournament so i.would expect liverpool to be adressing their weaknesses up front.

Ajax are incredible at developing talents, and I know many players from Denmark go there because they actually get the chance in the first team, it's a huge motivational factor for a young player when changing clubs.

Eriksen have said that Fischer is much better than he himself was at 17.

Now we just need to sign Lucas Andersen from Aab, the next kid with a shot of making it from Denmark-
DEFINITELY - they will be important players whereever they end up.

Funny how others see it. Sterling showed exactly why he will play for the 1st team, right footed playing on the left, quick stepover to go outside the right back (onto Sterling's weaker side) for the penalty.
The full back has no idea which side of him Sterling was going to go because he can go inside or out at a lightening pace.
Raheem could have had 2 or 3 other penalties.

I think we'll see him feature towards the end of this season and be involved in the 1st team squad regularly from the start of next season.

Sterling is our best / most exciting young player to come through since Owen.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
