he wins but you know its a short term burst and not a long term plan. his antics in spain have been bordering on the insane. he tried to kick fabregas in the head and he (properly) eye gouged villanova.

i think theres a couple of ways to look at this. firstly, we couldnt get the players we wanted in this window because their teams werent willing to release them. Alternatively, the owners wanted to evaluate kennys performance with the investment made over the last 12 months including signing some big ticket players.

i have a feeling that they wont keep kenny on.
think your describing an ex liverpool manager ........

I know nothing about your gambling history but I reckon if I asked you about football bets you say that you’re always beat by one team, probably a draw too.
        I don't gamble

anything else is just a bonus. if we win the carling cup and then finish sixth then it will be a poor season. if we win both cup competitions and finish outside the top 4 then i think we can say its been a decent season.

john henry clearly said before the start of the season that top four was the target. If we dont finish top four then i believe that they will review kennys position.

A new manager is no guarantee of success. AVB was supposed to be the hottest young manager in world football and yet at times he has looked totally clueless in his formations and tactics in the EPL.

i dont think we'll finish fourth and im not sure kenny will be here next season.
I'd be STUNNED if Kenny was sacked

Winning Carling Cup would be great but that will not inspire many high quality players to join us.
I'm almost certain Kenny will be here next season

As for the quality of signings we'll be able to attract, well things have changed in football

Even United are struggling to compete in the transfer market when top top players become available

Be interesting to see what our policy will be in the summer

oh yes...like a bad book, ive forgotten him quickly.

seems odd to even suggest he managed us once.

if we can win the carling cup and finish fourth he wont be going anywhere. but if we dont finish fourth i think he will be gently moved upstairs.

                      Cant see it myself

Even if we dont finish 4th and didnt win the Carling I'd be surprised if he was moved on

You cant look at what they did at Red Sox and use those judgements to gauge their thought processes in regards to our club

They are totally different scenarios, they actually knew a touch about baseball. They are starting from nothing in football

Look at how long it took them to move Roy on, the noise from the stands was almost deafening and yet they took their time and took advice from the people they employed on the ground (Ayre & Comolli)

I cant see either Ayre or Comolli advocating a change, in fact I think they'd be even more inclined to hang fire and try and see out more of the plan set in place

Well if FSG aren't happy, then they'll put some sort of spin out there. Read a nice piece about them with the Red Sox prior to taking them over. They did it with Hodgson too.

All we are basing it on is a tweet. We have no idea what their plan is. There are so many factors to consider. Plus, there is no one out there better than Kenny at this moment.

I'd rather we kept the money than spend it on players like Bent. We should have a warchest in the summer regardless of whether we get in the Champions League or not.

The market in the summer will be interesting. We need to get a headstart and not dally around with the odd million or two.

So would I, however, if we don't get CL this season and next I think they would look to make changes.

We really need to buy better next summer than we did last.

                            That is more likely imo

I would very shocked if we make a CL place. To many poor players in the team.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.
