Gerrard looked sharp tonight I thought, first real glimpse of him getting back to his explosive best and it's no wonder it happened when he played as the furthest forward of the 3. That turn in the first half on the right was The ball didn't quite run for him at times though sadly and at times we struggled to pick him out despite his clever movement, something Lucas does very well (and Alonso obv did before him)

Looked very good on the moments especially in the first half.

Explosiveness was there, technique, touch etc.

Almost Stevie from few years back.

Still needs time but his form has been encouraging.
