Downing = lazy and unintelligent. When Suarez and Kuyt broke in the 38th min, he made **** all effort to get up with play and just gave up his run, that is not acceptable.

The central midfield have look a bit bewildered at times. Jay, though trying and patchy, is showing just how good Lucas is. Henderson is offering nothing as an attacking force, Suarez is isolated.

And Enrique - he must be carrying an injury still. He looks slow and is doing the Carragher air swim at times.

GJ was very unlucky not to score. Skrtel and Agger are rock solid.

Midfield played ok but Luis (needs to calm down. He is too impulsive) is isolated too much.

We've done nothing going forward, concede possession in the middle entirely and been bossed down our left for about half an hour, but apart from that, not too bad. But seriously, our CBs have done well, Johnson has been good. I think Henderson needs to take a few steps forward to let Gerrard play a bit.

And I know it's fashionable to slate Downing, but he deserves it. Done nothing positive at all. Get him off at HT.

tbf watching the handshake slo-mo replay is quite funny. I can feel Evra's pain, having a handshake ignored is soul destroying at times.
