When do people think we'll become a top successful club again, realistically now?

When do people think we'll become a top successful club again, realistically now?

    5 years? 10 years? 30 years?

When I mean successful I mean a club that plays football that is the sex, where we pass the ball around like the present day Barca do. The days like we used to where we destroyed everyone and became famous.

Where we attack teams and ****ing pummel them to the ground, every team we play home and away.

Where no **** happens in the club, no bad or negative news where we're not in the paper every other day.

Where we destroy United home and away every season season after season instead of being worried that they're going to beat us home and away.

Where we have a new stadium.

Where we have the fans unison in one voice.

When is that day coming? Is it coming at all???

    Who knows.

We have been waiting 20+ years. so any day now

Seriously We were so close a few years ago under Rafa that 07/08/09 team was the best we have had since the 88 team IMO but Mr Moores maaged to **** that up for us by selling to the two cunts.

We need to get back into the CL in order to attract the best players then we can start to get back to where we belong. The club was almost destroyed only 18 moths ago so it will take time to build th club up and take advantage of our standing and fan base around the world. Thank **** we finaly have people at the club who can exploit our global fan base and fame to its max which will help us back on our ****ING perch.

It wil not happen as long as the pisshead is in charge of the mancs as the man has too much power i english football and can always call on the Fergie Association.

I've had a bottle of wine, I'm off to bed.

Looking forward to the barrage of abuse I'm going to get off everyone tomorrow.

      Goodnight.

Never been the same since they changed the back pass rule.

Considering we were nearly destryoed as a club under H+G and only kept alive by superb interim manager Hodgson just over a year ago I think we will have to wait a while. Especially Spurs have capitalized on our demise the last few years, and City have come to ridiculous money, so it will take hard work.

We have the setup to become league challengers again, what we need is a new stadium, continuity and stability and most important we need patience (that seems the hardest at present) to wait for something to be build up from the bottom.

We are in the process already challenging for 4th this season, and while we might not get it we are on the right track in terms of position and play.

I say it will take 5 years for us to become league challengers once again.

I think we can realistically expect 5 years to rebuild to be a great club. Thats enough for the youth policy to evolve well, and for our squad to be overhauled and begin to gel as a team.

It took Rafa 4 years to get a team together in 2009 that looked good. So its not unrealistic.

I dont think Mr Moores can be credited with the title challenge of 08/09, therefore, I hardly think he can be blamed for it; He couldn't afford to keep us competing by funding transfers out his back pocket and rushed into the wrong decision. Without Hicks and Gillett, we wouldn't have had Torres and Mascherano - we just had no idea how they were funded.

So, in essence, if Mr Moores hadn't sold us, we might not have challenged for the title. It's Hicks and Gillett that ****ed us over, Mr Moores was just (extremely) naive and too trusting.

I agree with most of that, I think five years is a timescale we need to be working to.

We will not win the league again in the next decade I reckon.
