Finally, someone else bar me making Kenny accountable. All I have seen on here for 12 months is Comolli this, FSG that, blame the players, blame the transfers as they bought themselves.

But, everyone is agreeing the transfers have been poor, we've wasted a lot of money, we aren't playing well game in game out, subs are poor, players are underperforming etc...

...that is mainly the manager's fault I'm afraid.

Without labouring the point, for any of us who think Carroll will come good, the only way for him to come good is for him to do the things that Van Persie does - and he doesn't have a single attribute that suggests he will ever do this. Van Persie is what a £35M player looks like and he's the sort of striker a team with League ambitions is supposed to have. Carroll is not to blame for today but it says it all when your most expensive player ever is only thrown pointlessly on at the death to salvage a draw from a must win game.

And I ****in detest the sight of us chasing a game in the last few minutes without having the ball - what the **** sort of midfield lets this happen?

I believe in Henderson btw. He'll be excellent.

          Carra should never play again.

            I am realistic.
its games like today that give me hope. we're miles off the top 2/3 maybe but we aren't miles away from arsenal. anything but. there'll never be a season like this again, we'll win twice as many home games next year and play a lot worse. poor finishing, bad luck and some poor decisions all round have contributed. We must find another Torres/Rooney/Van Persie. the type that wins you games on their own.

              Injuries didn't help:

              Agger>>>Carra
              Johnson>Kelly
              Gerrard>Adam
              We come not to play.

We could all see that whilst we were dominating we weren't going to score with this lot. Their defence was all over the place yet Kenny left our quickest and arguably best attacker on the bloody bench until the 88th minute, and brings him on for Downing. Bellamy would've had a field day with this lot had they been given 30 minutes or so.

This squad of players and in particular the majority of ones Dalglish has brought in have a complete lack of bottle in front of goal and are bloody useless making the final cutting pass.

yeah it's better than nothing, but i would trade those 4 or 5 wins it took to get there for as many premiership wins. i'd even trade them for slightly fewer league wins. winning that trophy was a chance for us to start getting stronger in our resolve, but we've gone straight out and bottled another home game. i'm certainly not suicidal but i would trade almost anything to be consistently good in the league. i wanted us to win the trophy to rally the troops. if that doesn't happen, then it was a pretty pointless exercise. league points are the most important thing this season, and we've just watched them slip through our fingers at anfield all season long. i can't put up with it for another year, i'll have no nails left.

but he's proved value at 8m, yes?

Our midfield dominated theirs all game, it's a bit harsh that. Their goal killed us, came out of the ****ing blue.
                        Are we winning?

                          +1.

We cut our losses and we'll lambast the players that come in to replace them.

They'll need a year to settle in and we'll show little patience again.

We *need* to look at the bigger picture here. We have a new manager, under new owners with new players; we can't expect them to all suddenly pull in the same direction, all whilst understanding a new set-up.

In hindsight yes but I don't think you would find any manager that would have picked Coates over him.

After this game things will change as we were almost definite out of CL race and I wouldn't be surprised to see Coates start next week.

I'd get rid of them all in the summer just cut our loses and rebuild again.
if we can find replacements who want to join us, which is a big ask, I agree. Would probably keep Jordan but we don't need the others.
