The problem is not really the price but that he is good squad player but he shouldn't be playing week in and week out.

He is just not good enough for the starting job.

Gerrard & Lucas are out mate, Adam IS a squad player and he's playing because 2 key CMs are injured.

yeah it's better than nothing, but i would trade those 4 or 5 wins it took to get there for as many premiership wins. i'd even trade them for slightly fewer league wins. winning that trophy was a chance for us to start getting stronger in our resolve, but we've gone straight out and bottled another home game. i'm certainly not suicidal but i would trade almost anything to be consistently good in the league. i wanted us to win the trophy to rally the troops. if that doesn't happen, then it was a pretty pointless exercise. league points are the most important thing this season, and we've just watched them slip through our fingers at anfield all season long. i can't put up with it for another year, i'll have no nails left.

Bottled?? We bossed them and we should've been 3-0 up at HT.

Sadly I think it is bit more than just one ingredient, think we need 4 or 5 players. We need 2 wide players 2 more midfielders and another forward.

Pretty much. We don't have a real RM at the club and that's crazy. Henderson shouldn't be playing anywhere but CM and only then when we have at least two injuries to first teamers there. Two new CMs (one attacking and one defensive) is about right. Adam doesn't even feature in our first team for me.

And we need to spend on a striker to make up for the Carroll mistake.

Under Hodgson, we were deserving to lose and barely deserving the wins. Under Kenny, we've been the better side far more often than not. Nobody in their right mind would suggest we deserved to lose today. We deserved to win. Under Roy we were being outplayed by ****ing Wolves and Blackpool. Regularly outplayed by dross. Under Kenny we're the better side in most games. The freakishly bad luck/poor finishing wont always be the case and once it stops (even if it takes a new striker) suddenly the points that we deserve with most of our performances will come.

Kenny and Roy 'equal' You only have to watch the games to know how ridiculous that sounds.

I was talking about where we are in terms of actual output. It is fact.

Goals scored, points, position = it's f**king drivel and unacceptable.

You can all continue loving up with Kenny but fact is we are going nowhere with him.

Would RVP have scored Kelly's chance? Yes. Would he have scored the penalty? Almost certainly. Would he have scored Henderson's chance in the first half? Yes. Would he have as low a conversion rate as Suarez? No chance. Would he have got on the end of one of our 14 corners today? Almost certainly.

We've made dozens of chances this year, many of which RVP would have taken.

Look at it the other way around - would any of our strikers have scored RVP's winner? No.

The doom and gloom is not unwarranted a third season with out CL football is not good and it is very likely, 2 wins in the last 10 is really bad especially as we had a real opportunity to push on this year but we have really wasted it.

I too think we need much more than a single striker. Having more clinical finisher would help but I do think we need to improve in few other areas if we want to take it to the next level.

Our midfield is weak (We don't know how Lucas will look like upon his return and Stevie has been battling injuries now quite regularly) and our wide player production is primarily based on 32 year old knee damaged footballer.

We have to buy imo a striker, one wide player, one box-to-box mid and AM.
