I think it could be quite the opposite, I am sure there are financial implications on some loans if the player doesnt play enough.



Also most loans are fees up front and wages agreed, I am not sure I have seem a pay as you play loan deal, May happen though.

Most of the loans for young players the club pays no fee often they don't pay all of the players wages either, as others mentioned there can be penalties for not playing them, so that isn't the issue here.

Players on loan not getting games could be down to finances where the club cannot afford to pay a fee the week at a particular game as doubt it if the loan clubs are paying the fee upfront so I say it's pay as the loan player plays.

I read about Williams earlier in the season, the suggestion was that he was playing until he got injured. After he got injured the guys in the side were doing well and he couldn't get his place back.

But there is no point in these guys being out on loan if they aren't getting games.
