Was hoping Assaidi would make a Hazard-esque difference against Chelsea, but unfortunately **** his pants at the sight of Ivanovich. Didn't try to get near or past him once, despite his team losing and giving him licence to cause damage.

Assaidi was really poor when he came on wasn't he, just didn't give it a go

Caught a bit of the 1st and all of the second half of Sunderland-Stoke.

assaidi was okay although as usual for all his flicks he didn't have much end product. Rarely gave the ball away though.

Borini was energetic, a bit hit n miss but definitely one of Sunderlands better players. I haven't seen alot of him this season but it looks like he has much more purpose and belief about him when he is on the ball.

I'd rather have Borini coming off the bench than Aspas. He has more room for improvement too imo.

And would having Assaidi coming on for 10 minutes really be any different from Victor Moses???

Ideally we'd want even better depth but my point is that our players out on loan look just as if not more impressive than some of our summer imports.

Borini may get a squad place depending on our summer activity
I reckon Suso could make it here, but he could well be sold.
Depending on how Coates gets on at Nacional reckon he could be a goner too.

Wisdom will come back and kick his heels as a squad backup. Could do with a season on loan at a premier league club next year.

I think Suso will definately be back and Alberto will be loaned. One in one out.

Similarly Aspas will be a gonner and Borini will have that role - but hopefully with more playing opportunities because of Champions League participation.

I think that Wisdom, Suso, Borini and Ilori are all considered to have future at the club, I think that Borini will probably be a squad player next year as will Suso, Ilori I suspect will be loaned out again to develop as I don't think he'll be ready to challenge for a place, and Wisdom I think depends what happens with RB positions, if we move people on I think he could be involved, if not I think he could be loaned again.

I think we are looking to get rid of Coates and Reina if there are buyers.

Assaidi I am unsure about, I would be tempted to keep him as a squad player rather than go out and sign another squad player who isn't going to be much better, that way we can keep the extra funds to strengthen the first team.

IMO Borini,Assaidi & Coates will be sold on. Wouldn't be surprised if Aspas goes back to Spain either.
