Are we sending Adorjan out on loan again? Wasn't involved last night.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Brad Smith has been called up by Australia NT for a couple friendlies.
He is also back from his injury, played the full 90 minutes for Swindon against Gillingham (2-2) yesterday.

Ah yeah, probably best off in this thread rather than the youth team one.
The times they are a changin'.

Luis Alberto just scored for Malaga. Seems he missed a penalty, probably scored on the rebound.

                ****in class goal by Tex

Brighton boss Sami Hyypia said: "Joao is a very good player. We also need quality from the other players and if we manage to do that we'll get Joao on the ball and he'll be dangerous.
"It's going to be a good test for him. His goal is to play at the highest level and he's on the right track."

Another busy weekend for Liverpool loanees, with Luis Alberto and Joao Teixeira getting the decisive goals for their respective sides and a number of others making appearances as well.

Between the sheer amount of players on loan and their quality, there's bound to be plenty to discuss on a weekly basis. Watching all of them will prove a challenge; not all of the matches will be televised and there's a number of kickoffs simultaneously, but there's at least highlights here and there that can catch us up on those spending time elsewhere for the season.

There was another start and another 90 minutes for Andre Wisdom in West Brom's 0-0 draw at Southampton; the fullback created one chance and was again solid for the actual Baggies, who earned their second draw of the new season. Wisdom and Ben Foster were involved in a mix-up at the back that thankfully didn't result in a goal for the hosts, who couldn't build on their impressive display last weekend at Anfield.

Joao Teixeira got another start and rewarded Sami Hyypia's confidence with another goal, this time netting a second-half winner after Brighton had fallen behind to an early Bolton goal. For Teixeira that's two goals in two games after he scored midweek in the win at Leeds, and two wins on the trot for Hyypia's side after they lost their first two of the Championship season.

Over in Spain, Luis Alberto also got a winner, punching home the rebound from his saved penalty to give Malaga a controversial 1-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao. There was a string of strange refereeing decisions in the second half, none worse than the late equalizer for Athletic that was ruled off for...no reason whatsoever. Athletic goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz headed in a corner in injury time with no foul apparent, but the goal was ruled out and Alberto's goal held up as decisive.

Brad Smith was back in action for Swindon Town after a spell out through injury, and he featured for 82 minutes in the 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandria. Smith registered a shot on goal in his first match back. Divock Origi came on as a substitute for Lille with the home side already up 1-0, and a minute after he arrived Simon Kjaer padded the lead with a free-kick that skipped off a defender and in. Lille will now face Porto on Tuesday in the second leg of their Champions League qualifier.

Iago Aspas was left out of Sevilla's squad in their 1-1 draw at home with Valencia, and Tiago Ilori wasn't part of the Bordeaux side that impressed in their 3-1 win at Nice.

I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                    Mine angry and defrauded young?

Supremely talented but hard to see how he'll make the breakthrough here. Similar to Suso, he has Coutinho, Lallana and Alberto ahead of him here, so hard to see how he'll get a chance.

Not sure if Alberto really has enough in his locker whereas Tex has time & the pedigree to kick on further IMO.

I'm not going by ability, I'm gong by the fact we spent £7m on him when we knew we already had Tex and Suso here, so I'm assuming the club rate him higher.

Went on the Brighton forum to try and find out where they are playing him. Some absolute clowns on there.

****ers booing Sami after 2 games.
