Bad luck is a goal going in off a beach ball. The rest is just variations on bad play. A miss is a ****ing miss, doesn't matter how you explain it away. Good teams don't miss chances. Use it as an excuse once, but not for an entire season.
When Mackie went through at the death there there wasn't even a glimmer of hope that he'd **** it up. He just did what I see 10 year olds do on the park on Saturday mornings. Just slide it past the keeper. That's the problem with our whole squad, we can't do the simple things. Take a corner, defend a corner, pick out a man with a decent cross, finish one on one etc. Even Reina's turned to ****. He just stands there motionless on his line these days. It's ridiculous how ****ing amateurish we are these days. 3 points ahead of Swansea.

he drifts past defenders and can create space for others but his shooting is awful. hes at his best when hes chasing balls or when hes dribbling in tight spaces. other than that his general play is below par.

hes only first choice striker because both kuyt and carroll are crap. Even now I cant see how he could have played with torres because gerrrard was brilliant as torres partner and suarez isnt anywhere near the all round player than gerrard is.

whenever he gets a chance i no longer hold my breath in anticipation because i know hes going to **** it up. Scoring goals is the exception to the rule than the norm.
I must admit I'm shocked when he does score (ala Stoke)

We desperately need a top striker in the summer

like who? they need a bollocking agreed but who was so bad tonight they should be bombed out?

reina? got used to him not saving stuff these days
          kelly? injured again
carra? thought he did ok, obviously has to take some responsibility as the most experienced player out there. we all know its his last swansong.
skrtrel? been our best player this year but this is exactly the sort of game his concentration wains in.
Enrique? I don't like him a lot, brainless. but he's done enough to put the jersey on again.
          spearing? again played well.
adam? form has dropped and he could be moved on in the summer to make room for signings. hardly his fault we lost though.
gerrard? thought he worked hard and played well jut frustrating with the flicks at times.
Kuyt? same old, too slow and gives it away but the goal is what he's about.
henderson? did very little and was poor out there. poor enough to not get amother go?
Suarez? frustrating like garcia. makes it hard to get a rythm going. but he is a threat and can produce magic. wonder if he'd be better from the bench at times.
downing? chicken but kept going tonight and did link well at times. he has defiantley picked his game up. he'll never be messi but he's doing ok.
carroll? I think we may need to move him on, for us and for him. I like him but something just ain't right.

collectively as a team we ****ed up.

bad luck can explain some.results but when you see the.same.pattern repeating itself in most of the matches we.play it just becomes bad play.

Even last summer, we had so many deficiencies in our squad yet our net spend was 40 m or something. We need a net spend of about 140m, to get some real world class players in every part of the pitch. Other wise we will never compete. We have fallen so far now, its the only way and you knwo what, its not going to happen.
Torres, Alonso, Mascherano in addition to being lucky enough to have Gerrard at his peak

We were in for them. i don't need to list all the players we came close to signing

I've commented on his talents but its interesting to see people now questioning his goalscoring and passing

He was untouchable a few weeks ago

For once we score the goals needed, although we should have scored more with the chances created, and it's all ****ed up by Henderson, Skrtel and Enrique making some shocking defending in the last 15.

How ****ing frustrating that is, we finally start scoring goals and we have to endure 3 personal errors in a game.

Don't think a lot was wrong tactically as some suggest, we controlled the match and created chances and scored a couple of goals. Should have been okay, but turns out it wasn't due to personal errors.

4th is long gone, don't really care if we finish 5th or 8th, gives us nothing either way, just want some of our players to show why they should be here next season now.

I still can't believe we lost that.

We were ****ing cruising at 2 nil and should have been looking for more. We froze. Just goes to show what a settled back 4 can do. Johnson, Agger (and now Kelly) massive loss for us.

It also seems KD can't decide which of Carra and Coates is 3rd choice. His sub decisions were baffling tonight. Taking Suarez off who was keeping them stretched an occupoed at the back...

But who saw them getting 3. Poor. A lack of leaders on the field for that to happen.

I couldn't stand The Bodge & things went to the ****ter, but under Kenny after spending a small fortune:

                          - Signings have been awful
                          - Players are showing no passion,no fight, no balls
                          - Team selections are baffling.
                          - Our brand of football is shocking
                          - The whole tactical side of the game is all over the camp
                          - And the most important thing, the results have been shocking & it is just not good enough.

I was delighted when Kenny was appointed but also shared the same fears as many, and they were... was Kenny able to adapt to the modern game? From what i have seen tactically we look absolutely all over the place. It's genuinely weird. There is no system and cohension there.

We scraped the Carling Cup and we've been clinging onto that and the FA Cup run for dear life. I'm just being realistic Lec & we have some serious problems that need to be addressed in the summer.

I don't like talking about any other managers at the moment, we'll see how things end up come end of season but even Kenny can't sustain this, i think it's faire to say that most other managers would have been gone by now.

sadly this is turning into what i feared it might. dalglish, legend that he is, just can't cut it at the top anymore. its almost like he has to re-learn his way or something.

he could probably get us into the CL in 2,3 or 4 years but tbh, given the amount we have spent, we needed to be in it this season. everyone said it and thought it once we kicked off.

think he'll do the decent thing and stand aside. sad but our league form is an utter disgrace. shambolic at times and today was the worst of the lot.

they should all be ashamed of themselves and god knows what henry & co are thinking watching this **** each week.

I honestly thought we might close the game out when they pulled it back to 2-1

Even their body language when Derry scored suggested consolation.

Problem is the player he's likely to come in for is Gerrard, who is the one attacking player who has been delivering
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
