The reason why I didn't mention Konpany's absence was because he wouldn't have played that night had it been a league game. If you really can't grasp that aspect of the argument then you've got bigger issues than anything can be addressed here.

Similarly, I was not comparing Benitez, Hodgson and Dalglish as managers or their respective records - re read what I said. I was comparing their treatment whilst each was at the club.

You said I was advocating getting rid of Dalglish from the club. Again you misunderstand. I would remove him as manager yes. Keep him at the club - give him his ambassador job back which he was very good at.

    Can you grasp that?
Your agenda is to paint Kenny in a negative light, to strengthen your view that he should be sacked. Quite obviously.

Savic played BECAUSE Kompany was suspended FFS Can you grasp that?

You say Kompany wouldnt have played that night if it was a league game (i assume you meant Savic). But actually, yes he would - because Kompany was SUSPENDED. Geddit?

We don't, we have been very poor and our ability to create chances is not great. We are where we are because we lack quality.

We've clearly deserved more in plenty of games Matt, to suggest otherwise is just stubbornly foolhardly.

Arsenal as the most obvious recent example.

Yes we do but our major downfall has been our inefficiency in front of goal. How many sitters Suarez has missed this season? ****loads of them. Then injuries hasn't helped lately.

I really don't know if you're being serious or not. I said Kompany because I meant Kompany.

Kompany would not have played that night if it was any non European game because he was suspended. That is why I didn't mention him or the Toures because they were away. Therefore they would not have played regardless of the competition City were involved in. Therefore they could bot have been selected. Therefore City didn't rest them. That was the point I was making and why I didn't mention them in my initial analysis.

Now on the Savic point - are you saying if Konoany misses the United game for whatever reason Savic will play? No, he won't because City have a big enough squad not to play Kompany or Savic. It's not an either or. GEDDIT?

You ask my age - can I ask yours because you seem imcapanle of following or indeed forming an argument

Arsenal we didn't deserve to lose, but often we have just be too one dimensional and easy to defend and we often look far poorer in the second half than first

Sorry disagree, we are so one dimensional attacking, we lack any midfield support of goals and we don't create the best chances imo.

Right, so Mancini decided to play Savic for a laugh and wanted to get eliminated

It's amazing, our wins are because other teams were missing players, but when we lose the fact that we're missing players is dismissed.

Arsenal is just one and the most recent example of many.

We didnt just 'not deserve to lose', we deserved to win.

Hmm, I thought we dropped off so much in the second half against Arsenal a problem we have had often this season.
I think that in general we are where we are because that is where we deserve to be. We seriously lack quality in midfield and it is killing us.

We should've been 3-0 up at half time.

We could have, I don't think the chances (missed pen aside) were as easy as made out still. They did score before HT though.

Of course you dont think the chances were easy, it wouldnt suit your argument if you did

If a peno and an open goal arent easy chances, then there's no such thing as easy chances in football, ever

It is not thing to do with my argument. I did also say excluding the pen!

The worst thing I saw from Hodgson was his treatment of Danny Agger. In my opinion when fit he is one of the best CB's in the world. How a manager can choose to ignore that is preposterous
