With all due respect Tee you don't have to be a scout genius to know about Gotze especially not last year when the whole world (well clearly not the whole world) was aware of his potential.

We mentioned him at this site 3+ years ago and if I am not mistaken nobody here (I don't think) is a scout by profession

I know that but my point is someone at the club has the sense to look at this style of player, rather than the dross (which we all thought would be dross tbf) we went after and spunked all that money on.

I see the logic in what your saying.

Maybe he just wasn't listened to by the last regime, but will be now, more anyway, hopefully, whoever he is.

Why? We chose Downing over Mata.

mata went for 27 and we got downing for 20m

gotze would go for around 30m euros plus imo which is way over what we paid for henderson and theyre also completely different players.

maybe kenny wanted someone with more hard working than pure creative talent like gotze.
