It's not that uncommon for everything else to be axed though really is it. Managers have preferred scouts and coaches they like to work with. The only unusual one was the axing of Bruckner, but then it sounds like he was a bit too big for his boots, and I don't think him and Benitez got on anyway.

It can only be speculation unless they are getting it from the owners

Agreed, but it seems strange that such well respected fans would peddle speculation of this nature.

Bruckner was a Purslow "signing" rather than a Rafa one, IIRC?

John Henry reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool's future by taking in an academy match against Manchester United on Thursday.

The American owner was criticised after missing the FA Cup semi-final against Everton last weekend to watch Boston Red Sox's first home match of the Major League Baseball season.

Henry is currently overseeing a radical shake-up of the Anfield club which led to the departures of director of football Damien Comolli and head of sports medicine and sports science Peter Brukner.
But he took time out to watch Liverpool's kids battle back to earn a 2-2 draw against United in Kirkby.

Michael Keane and Jesse Lingard put the visitors 2-0 up in the first half before goals from Nathan Eccleston after Michael Ngoo ensured the spoils were shared.

I must admit I was worried that FSG may not be committed to the club long term, but I now feel reassured after learning that he watched an academy game. Anyone feeling a palpable sense of relief?
