I was going to say that perhaps they're choosing between the FA Cup Final and Champions League final, but then I realised how wealthy their classless fanbase is. Abomination of a club.
Yep, just seen this, which indicates they were EXTRA tickets via the FA
We have received an additional 1000 tickets for the FA Cup Final against Liverpool. Adult tickets for this match are priced £115, £85, £65 and £45 with Seniors (over 65) and Juniors (under 17) receiving a £10 reduction on the full adult price ticket.
All tickets will be sent out special delivery with a £5.65 booking fee per transaction to cover this cost. Tickets must be signed for by the customer. Chelsea FC is not responsible for failures in the postal system. Please note, on this occasion the £1.50 booking fee will be waived on all purchases.
Customers who live overseas will need to collect their tickets from the Chelsea box office by 5pm on Friday 4th May.
It's extra. Confirmed by LFC (via RAWK) that a number of tickets set aside for the 'Football Family' were left unsold and, as these were in the Chelsea end, they were allocated to Chelsea FC.
So what did everyone think of tonight's line-up in terms of who is going to start on Saturday?
I have a worry that we'll start with Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel and Agger at the back.
Bellamy played at the weekend, Downing was benched tonight and Kuyt played this evening. Obviously Maxi won't start on Sunday. Bellamy on the left and Downing on the right?
I can also see Carroll being benched for the final. He's come back from a minor injury and played 90 minutes four days before the game.

I'm not convinced Carragher will start because he's physically shot and so couldn't cope with a Saturday/Tuesday combo anyway. That leaves the question of: "Why didn't he sit out Saturday and play tonight?"....I'll do a bit of straw-clutching and say that Kenny wanted to give Agger as much time to recover as possible, so out of the main two (Agger/Skrtel) Agger has the Saturday and Skrtel the Tuesday. A further straw-clutch of "why not Agger/Skrtel on Saturday and Carragher/Coates? tonight" - Kenny wanted to divide the centre back resources more evenly instead of having a strong and weak pairing.....Plausible?
