Dalglish should have bought a goalscorer in January

Massive mistake alongwith not buying cover for Lucas

At the end of the day the players need to do it on the pitch which includes scoring BUT the manager picks the side, sorts the tactics and lives or dies by the results the players who are out them for him deliver.

A goalscorer would have made a big difference for us this season but it probably wouldn't have been enough in isolation to get us the top 4 finish we wanted after we lost Lucas to injury he needed replacing in Jan big time and that was a huge error IMO

Suarez is an absolute joy to watch.
        We're lucky to have him.

Most people are concerned about Kenny's tenure. Hell I think a majority now probably think he should step down at the end of the season. But what do people want us to do about it right now? Unlike Hodgson, Kenny does deserve enough of our respect that we should not be "shouting out" about him in the same way, even though I think its pretty obvious that the majority of fans don't think he's the guy to take us forward after the summer.
I actually agree with everything in your post here, I really do hope its a clean break in the summer and the Comolli situation was the precursor to some huge changes and a new direction come the summer.

I don't actually see the point in sacking him just now - but I am concerned that he might be allowed to see out another transfer window. If thats allowed, he could end up setting us further back - a sacking mid season after results don't improve isn't going to do us any favours.

But - as we don't really know what is going to happen in the summer, I'm going to remain hugely dubious and pretty worried.

He picks the team, so yes..

If we beat Chelsea in the FA Cup, because Sterling comes on and gets the winner, then it'll be because Kenny picked him and brought him on.

I think Suarez was scouted to complement Torres. There's no way that guy is a prolific scorer. Great player yes but I'm now doubting his ability to be a foil for a goalscorer.
                  Are we winning?

And for me Suarez has been just about the only positive this season, he's ****ing world class and I can't understand why anyone would doubt that.

I don't think we have the funds to keep a luxury player like this though, thats my point. For all his undoubted ability, he just doesn't finish enough of his chances. If he had quality players around him then I'd agree 100% but we don't and I don't think we will again until we get the finances sorted and a new stadium.

I'm not saying sell Suarez because he's ****.

I disagree really. Far too often when Suarez wriggles through the rest of our team just stands there watching him, or they make aimless runs easily covered by defenders. Nowhere near enough players gamble on finding the space and believing he can get the ball to them. So over the season Suarez has learned there's little point in looking for the runner as they just aren't there, and even if they are they won't finish reliably.

If / when we manage to get several other genuine goal threats on the pitch with him and he's still doing this, then I'll be prepared to blame him. Right now I really really can't.

Suarez was brilliant today BUT he needs someone to actually put the ball in the net after his good work.

He's not it seems going to get us 20 a season but he'll get 10 or so with some help and he'll certainly supply chances for others to score but we need to find the right players to compliment him.

Suarez is not a luxury, he is a NESCESSITY, we just need to buy a couple of finishers to complement him

Sometimes you have to sell a class player to improve your team

Not advocating doing that myself but its one view to have

We need a poacher. Someone who will spend each game in the six yard box and pick up loose balls and rebounds.
