The goals we are conceeding are quite literally being gifted to the opposition

Yes prior to that I would blame the midfield and the lack of protection but not in the last few ggoals conceeded in the last few games
The thing is the goals we are letting in wouldn't matter so much if we were scoring some goals.

You can blame the individual mistake, but they will happen. The fact is they matter less when you are 3 or 4 nil up. Week after week we start strongly against teams, dominate them, but don't take the lead. This ends up giving them confidence that it 'might just be there day' allowing them to sneak a goal on the attack.

This happening once would be forgiveable. But every sodding week.

Bizarre. Totally bizarre. But we need a Robbie Fowler type forward. A poacher. Even Everton have one now thay have Jelavic. We don't have another forward on the bench (Bellamy and Kuyt are wingers in this squad).

Almost 40 points behind the leaders, and we only have 6 points more than what is seen as "safe" in terms of relegation. Shocking. I think he will resign in the summer, do what is best for the club.

Can we afford two quality finishers? If we did buy a couple of finishers, we'd be selling Carroll and losing £20 million before we even started

Agreed I've said most of this before

That said I'd prefer the opposition to have to work to get their goals rather than just out and out gifting them on a plate

I don't know if a 'goalscorer' would help us, sounds stupid but I don't think its the difference in us being where we are to top 4 if he was to replace
Carroll would he then be in the same positions as Luis and getting in each others way or
Suarez but would we get as many chances with Suarez being out the team

so are we playing wrong tactics/formations

I am stumped to be honest because if we had a poacher then he probably would of had a few tap ins maybe we need 12 players I just dont think the answer is as easy as one player

Thats exactly my point and my opinion. I'm not slagging Suarez off here.

Pointless creating chances like we have if there is nobody capable of finishing them

Unfortunately he has to go. The league is the true barometer - no cup can change that...

Jelavic would have been a great buy in the short term and just to improve the general squad

A poacher isn't going to solve all our problems. It's just lazy talk and simplistic.

We need players who are going to move into space, take on players, take risks and make clever passes.

Then the team will improve collectively and score more. It's not going to be as simple as saying 'stick Cavani or Falcao in there and we'll be 5th'.

We need three-four tactically intelligent players who are quick, clever in their movement and willing to look forward for the final pass.

Nowhere near enough players gamble on finding the space and believing he can get the ball to them. So over the season Suarez has learned there's little point in looking for the runner as they just aren't there, and even if they are they won't finish reliably.

If / when we manage to get several other genuine goal threats on the pitch with him and he's still doing this, then I'll be prepared to blame him. Right now I really really can't.
two chances I can think of just today he managed to wiggle free out wide and then shot high with players in better positions in the box, don't get me wrong I wouldnt sell him as he takes 2 or 3 defenders with him at all times and I do agree our other players can just stand and watch him but he does do things which cant be predicted so I cant blame them but I cant also defend his scoring record or decision making at times like I just said I'm now stumped as to what I would do

We need to get Suarez to be less greedy, he would be a much better player if he would pass when a team mate is in a better position. Too often he will shoot from crazy positions when he could square the ball or pull it back and someone would have a tap in.

As good a player as he is, IMO his decision making lets him down.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

In the grand scheme of things I agree but a striker would go a long way in improving us

who said it was, but with an actual goalscorer I believe we would have scored more goals this season, we simply haven't scored anywhere near enough.

Today we played some good pass and move football and created multiple chances that a finisher would have stuck in, we've done this on numourous occasions this season - played well, created chances and lost the game through not being able to finish chances.
