The idea was to play Stevie off Luis. It didn't work out because Stevie dropped off to start attacks all of the time. We need strenghtening there urgently. It's threadbare.

Wasn't a bad decision as Chelsea pack the midfield so we had to counter that.

It didn't work because Spearing and Henderson where all over place, Gerrard attempted to cover for them and that isolated Gerrard and took out a lot of what is best about his game.

I'm seeing Kenny's taking some flak for the team selection. Dont get me wrong, Spearing isnt good enough. But who else was Kenny meant to put there?

Certain people have criticised Henderson, rightly or wrongly, and said he isnt good enough. So if he isnt good enough, surely you'd play another DM alongside him to help him? Who else could we have chosen to do that today?

It's all well and good saying start 442 but if Henderson isnt good enough WITH Spearing helping alongside him, how insufficient would he be as the ONLY protective midfielder in front of the back four?

I honestly dont see what other options Kenny had for DMs today.

Not sure on that. I think many would be saying its time to move on even if we had won
