It really pissed me off that sky didn't even mention it at half time. That's as clear a red card as you are likely to see IMO, it's two footed, it's high and it's from behind. Carroll was lucky not to have his leg broken, and to be fair he got up really quickly after it.Originally posted by Darkon View PostThat was shocking, it's not far from a leg-breaking tackle that! The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Did Essien get booked for that?
A lot of poor challenges last night from both sides
I'd be dreadfully disappointed if the FA highlighted and punished only the Suarez "elbow" as there were others far more deserving of punishment than thatBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

What annoys me about Essien, is that you don't have to go back too far to when he got hauled up for his assault on Didi Hamann......and then he was all apologetic saying he'll have to be more careful and respectful towards opponents.
You'd think given his injury record, he'd be more considerate......but no, a couple seasons back he tried to break Pennant's leg against Stoke and got away with it if I remember.
The one last night was diabolical and was easily a straight red........he's not hard, he's just dirty."I will make the boys feel your support"

Originally posted by Nick77 View PostI think we shouldn't get too carried away with last night's result as Chavski put in one of their worst performances I've seen in the Abramovic era and they should've had 2 more goals themselves (struck the post & Lukaku) & the goal we did concede should be reserved for amateur football!
It was a good win and a nice way to say goodbye to Anfield this season, but Chelsea were very, very poor. We did well though and there were a few positive signs. The fact we let in a soft goal, they struck the post twice and the header was of great concern to me (which could have resulted in 4). Regardless 4-1 it's in the book.
RE Essien. That was a shocker and I'm not quite sure how he keeps on getting away with it. That was nowhere near his worst, but he's had some shockers in his time in England.

I saw this, nost sure where else to put it:
Liverpool have missed five of their six penalties in the Premier League this season. They are the first team in Premier League history to miss five penalties in a season. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
