Thanjk you.

1.) Suarez
2.) Lucas (had he not been injured I'm sure he would be my no.1)
3.) Enrique (did very well considering he's at a new, bigger club than he was at & how **** most of the rest of the team have played.)
Although I suspect it would have been Suarez had it not been for all the **** with Evra, the ban and the loss of form in the build up to the hearing.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Seems most of us thinks Skrtel, but according to Morse MOM tables Suarez is leading and will most likely win it. I know it's across more fora's, but do we look at it differently when judging a season performance compared to a single match performance?

Of course. Especially when it's a comparison between a forward and a back.
Its great to see players who were being slagged off a few seasons ago (Skrtel & Lucas) now being shown the love that they deserve..... there's hope for all the current players copping abuse...... Carroll, Adam, Henderson.
I'll vote Skrtel.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."
For me it has to be between the two centre backs, the defence was the best part of our game this season. Skrtel has been formidable, really happy for him to have progressed so well!
I did pick Agger though just because i feel that when he does play he gives the backline such a boost and is a great organiser, he's the real reason Carra isn't really needed any more. I think the Dane is probably the most complete player at the club after Gerrard, I'm obviously quite bias but i reckon he is one of the best centre back in the league at running/distributing the ball out from the back, always a threat from corners too and just like big martin he got a few goals this season!

Special Mention: Brad Jones (Maybe he should have played the final too )
I'm going for Agger because I think he is ****ing awesome. Though Skrtel deserves credit I think he has stolen some of the limelight due to the marked improvement in his performances to previous years. Agger has been rock solid as we knew he would be and as he always is.
I also think Glen Johnson is by far our most under rated player. Some in fact don't rate him at all. He is solid defensively and one of our most productive players attacking - always available, overlapping crossing and chipping in with the odd goal.
It would be nice to see some more goalscorers play well next year. Whom so ever they may be.
It's a valid point from Darkon - we vote with our hearts after a game, then with our heads at the end of the season. I guess consistency comes in to it too, mixed in with the whole 'improvement' factor.

A worthy winner, in my opinion.
I wouldn't agree with that TBH, when voting over a long term you are likely to be disporptionatly affected by recent occurances over than equally across the season. Individual voting across the season is probably a better guide.

I'm only speaking from my experience, but I think Suarez got my vote a few times because he may have scored, as apposed to Skrtel who had been a rock. That's not to say I underestimated Skrtel's performance, but I was reacting to the euphoria of a winner - or as is more than likely - an equaliser or consolation. There has also been the odd game where nobody deserved a vote and Suarez may have got it on the back of a moment of skill.
Without the 'moment' and looking dispassionately at the season, I look at the foundations of our performances, consistency and improvement and Skrtel is that player. In my opinion of course.

My guess would be that it is the nature of defenders vs attackers. Being a good defender is about consistency and not stand out moments. On a per match basis defenders are only ever going to win if we mount a ridiculous rearguard action but over a longer stretch their value can be more easily seen.
