Gutted if Klopp isn't interested. For me its vital that we get a young manager who is aggressive and not intimidated by the old heads in english football. Someone who is afraid of no-one and willing to attack and beat the top teams.
I like Martinez for this reason. He's got the right mentality and he is capable of getting **** players playing well and beating teams they would otherwise not have the belief to beat. He is passionate and lively and I actually think he could be great for us. People will have such low expectations and he will put aggression into the team
I was sure he was a non starter, every german journo i've heard said things like, 'he has said publically he'll honour his contract there, he has plenty of unfinished business there, he loves his job in the way Rafa did when he was here during the good times', Chelsea approached him also and they couldn't tempt him either, was a non starter imo.
Ian Arye is not a proactive MD he is a reactive MD...and a crap one at that too. No Business MD would let Kenny run his mouth at the saurez situation or fester on so long.
He got the big deals. Really?? Wow 1 'Big deal' He got SC..we have been getting screwed by Carlsberg for years and most people knew that..anyone could have got a 'big deal'. There has been 0 innovative deal that Man Utd or Real Madrid have not yet done. Its a copy cat model to 'increase' an already underachieving brand.
I doubt he had anything to do with the warrior deal too.
Oh please do me a ****ing favour you are taking out of your ****ing arsehole ... What's that you say ? I can't hear you through your arsehole speak louder ..... List ... On .. It
Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015 #****CITY
A bit a bit of casual research on other forums seems to suggest that Rafa is a majority choice. But we don't own the club.
So, hoping that FSG are mindful of fans opinions, there may be hope.
If CL qualification and cash is essential, who else has the record of success to meet this requirement? Watching the youTube clip above and remembering how LOUD I was that night makes we want those nights back.
Andy Heaton @Andrew_Heaton
FSG have absolutely, categorically not approached Rafael Benitez about the vacant managers position in any way shape or form whatsoever.

One man to make it happen.
Bring him home.
Cheers all,
Mark
I'd never have guessed.
Edit: oh dear, don't look up now, there's a post you don't need to see.
It's sad mate. In a perfect world we'd all be united and give each other man hugs. Things just don't work that way though do they. The fact is everyone has strong opinions over what it's going to take to get us challenging again. We're all passionate fans at the end of the day.
Just try to remember that ultimately every Liverpool fan does actually want the same thing.
We all have different opinions but I'm worried that as a collective we're never going to be happy no matter what happens, that's how it feels anyway.
Coming on here everyday which I do and what most of us do and it's full of everyone bickering, the negativity is taking the club down. It's the same on Twitter and FB, there are positive tweets and posts but then they're swamped by the same old negative **** we're used to seeing.
It's been happening for years, we've had some great moments like the treble under Houllier and the CL in 2005 under Rafa as well as the CC under the King but there's never been a feeling of unity like what we used to be.
As a set of fans in recent times we've never been happy with who we've had as manager, results down the years haven't been great.
We've only really challenged for the league once in recent times, too many **** ups have been made by the respective boards.
We've had dreadful owners in Moores and G & H, everyone hated Rick Parry. Everyone hates Ayre, everyone hates Souness and pretty much everyone is pissed off with FSG. People hate Paul Tomkins, people hate Jen Chang, people hate Gunga Din, people hate ITK's where as some swear by them.
There's been no stadium built, we've not been competitive nowhere near enough. We've struggled financially most years, the club has been in decline and was nearly lost to us at one point.
Hodgson was a disaster, Rafa made mistakes but was successful and lots thought he was negative but now want him back.
Everyday I wake it's a constant barrage of piss takes and insults about us as a club or about Kenny Dalglish or Rafa or about where we finish in the league or about how **** we are.
The list of negativity and **** ups is endless. I know we all want what's best for the club and we all have opinions but we're too busy getting on each others backs thinking about how bad things have been and how bad things are going to be in the future that it seems there's no way forward.
We're ****ing cursed.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."
Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.
Breaking: Rafa Benitez willing to work in changed role.
This will come as a surprise to many, but Rafa Benitez is willing to work in a change role which the FSG are set to introduce. This was learnt by our sources, However, the stumbling block is the past record of issues Rafa had with power and transfer budget both at Valencia and Liverpool.
It is learnt, that Rafa believes that the new system can work only if the Manager is given the final say in players and that his input is most important on what kind of players are to be looked at. Our source, who interviewed Rafa for a TV channel few months ago claims he is ready to take the Liverpool job in the changed role.
If Rafa Benitez comes back, Liverpool will get another phase of Rafaluation, the first one in all honesty was a terrific one. This one can only get better. It time for the FSG to the wise decision a give Rafa the job he so much loves.
