Lukaku blast at Villas-Boas
Chelsea striker unhappy with treatment under former manager
Romelu Lukaku says he will 'never forgive' Andre Villas-Boas after claiming his treatment at the hands of the former Chelsea manager was 'weird'.
The teenage striker joined Chelsea from Anderlecht last summer, but failed to start a Premier League game or appear in the UEFA Champions League during Villas-Boas' brief reign.
Villas-Boas was sacked by the Blues in early March and Lukaku has criticised the way the Portuguese treated him, particularly in training.
The Belgium international told Sport Wereld: "There is one person that I will never forgive for what he did to me - the previous coach.
"It's not just that. It was also the way he spoke to me and treated me.
"Right from the beginning, it was weird. I could not stand how he was treating me. I received no explanation.
"In training, he put me on the right or left wing. In training matches, I was a substitute with a shirt to keep swapping teams. I really learned nothing!
"I have told the club that too. I understand that he was under pressure, but I was also thinking of myself. I have improved in recent months."
Roberto Di Matteo replaced Villas-Boas and Lukaku's only appearances under the interim manager came in the final two league games of the season.
However, after also not being involved in the squad for Saturday's Champions League final triumph over Bayern Munich, he was delighted with the outcome.
Lukaku added: "I could not believe it. I had to think, 'Is this really happening'? European champion... My life has changed and I'm only 19."
Obviously knows it all, this lad.....how dare the previous manager not bow down to him and treat him like a superstar.
Obviously we're not privy the the inner workings of AVB's training methods, but this comes across as a fella having ideas above his station.
The whole thing is to blow more wind up the arse of Di Matteo.. I like him by the way, the only person at Chelsea I'm happy for, maybe Cech too because despite his year or 2 of bad form he's picked back up and all in all has been a great keeper.
I'd like to think people within Liverpool circles put out feelers to see who would be interested when Kenny was still in charge. I know some people don't like that idea, but it's standard practice in football and a way of ensuring you've got people lined up for sure.
Otherwise, we're going to look like Wolves and a bit silly.
Was it Darkon that had got a whisper from a pal, saying Martinez had been lined up earlier in the year, but didn't post anything as he thought it was bull****? I think he could have been on the money.
I think it's Martinez and we've just been *seen* to be methodical.
Carroll and Suarez look a shoo-in for both. Does Johnson and Enrique suffer at the hands of Martinez? Lucas and Henderson look ideal for AvB's set-up. Downing left in limbo?

He and Hazard are both defining the modern footballer and this misplaced sense of entitlement.
Everyone knew that Lukaku would get **** all playing time at Chelsea but he clearly overlooked that for the extra money he'd make. No sympathy for the greedy little prick.
