Agreed.Originally posted by Captain Stu View PostHe and Hazard are both defining the modern footballer and this misplaced sense of entitlement.
Everyone knew that Lukaku would get **** all playing time at Chelsea but he clearly overlooked that for the extra money he'd make. No sympathy for the greedy little prick.
I'd offer him the same advice, and to the traitor, with the wise words that my father told me years ago- "play better football if you want to play more games. Now **** off !""I will make the boys feel your support"

Given a choice between the two current known candidates, i'd prefer a move for Martinez over AVB.
Too many tales associated with AVB, a fractured dressing room at his last job and less than a years premiership experience all put me off.
Whereas, with martinez you have 3 years premiership managerial experience, knowledge of working with restricted budgets and a need to get your purchases right and improve players once on board, and the Additional maturity I think is lacking in AVB.
I know a couple of lfc fans who have season tix at wigan (cost and availability reasons). Both say play nice football and both having watched martinez and his team closely, sure he is destined to be a top manager.
I see both candidates as risks, it's the nature of any change, i'd like to see martinez get his chance with a world name dof above him.

What nonsense. Evans had no plan B. If McManaman in his free role was having an off-day (which he did frequently) we were usually bereft of ideas.Originally posted by Darkon View PostRoy Evans - probably the last time we played really exciting football!
We've played exciting football at times under all the managers since - yes even under the disastrous Dalglish tenure.
I don't recall the Evans era with any great fondness. If anything it was a period of repeated missed opportunities. He didn't get nearly enough out of that squad, but then when I saw that he'd got the manager's job in the first place I nearly choked on my corn flakes

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. Some points.
1) Lukaku should have gone out on loan, in fact he was supposed to, but Chelsea ****ed up as they were not allowed to send him on loan. Therefore they were stuck with a player they didn't actually have a space for in their squad.
2) Lampard had a go at AVB did he? Well he would do, he was in and out the side. His brief was to make the squad younger and marginalise the input of the older players. He was doing his job, but it was too much to soon and he paid the price. Was not given enough time.
3) EVANS of the Times said AVB was a bit of a cretin towards the media, not towards employees of the club. He didn't bow down to the London Mafia (media) and grant them exclusives so they were not best pleased. They were delighted to see him fail.
4) So managers are turning it down. This does not surprise me. We are targeting young coaches who are still in their training diapers. I think that the majority will believe they are best of learning their trade at a club where they know they'll be given all the help and assistance they require. Can't blame them for that.
5) Finally, I find it ridiculous that our owners are getting put out to try for actually wanting to interview candidates. Why shouldn't they? IMO they have a better chance of getting the right man by interviewing them than bungling in and giving the job to a man they know little about.Forwards.......

Lukaku added: "I could not believe it. I had to think, 'Is this really happening'? European champion... My life has changed and I'm only 19."

Is this cunt for real? He had about as much input in Chelsea's win as I did.

Forget that. I've just realised that, by the same logic, FSG should buy PSG after selling us to KFC.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostI hope AVB ends up Dortmund. Then it would be AVB at BVB..
