Most of what was spent is money that the club generated.

We had 50 Million to spend on Carrol and Downing because we sold torres . Also Liverpool FC have substantial revenues.

I believe that FSG have purchased us purely because we were a fantastic investment oppotunity not because they were boyhood fans.

If we dont win anything for 10 seasons but get regular CL spots maybe they can use the revenues to grow the value of the club.

If we dont they can sack a manager every 1-2 seasons and try a new plan

He obviously doesn't want to be seen to be chasing the job in case he doesn't get it and staying at Swansea is seen as his second choice with their fans.

Probably true. Cant blame him for turning down an interview up against a load of other candidates. Saying to him you're our number one choice and we are going to speak to Swansea would probably get a completely different reaction though. Hopefully we dont bother.
