The truth is we talk the same way up as everybody, instead we just decide to add unecessary "o's" onto words to make them sound like shorter words when they actually aren't ie. righto mate-o or 'thats defo a peno johnno"
I can actually picture that being said so easily. Adding an -o onto every single word, no matter how bad it may sound is a must.

            Carragher wants strong boss
Defender says new manger must be able to handle the pressure

            Last Updated: May 18, 2012 2:58pm

Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool need a strong manager to handle the Kop's expectations, and has warned fans it may be some time before they mount a title challenge.

The Anfield club have not won the title since 1990, and the fans have become increasingly disgruntled as they have fallen down the Premier League pecking order.

The club are thought to have shortlisted around 12 men to replace Kenny Dalglish, with Roberto Martinez given permission to meet the Liverpool owners, whilst Swansea's Brendan Rodgers turned down the chance.

And Carragher thinks the new man faces a huge task.

"It's one of the biggest jobs around and a lot of pressure comes with that," he said.

"That is part of managing Liverpool. It is a prestigious job, so I am sure there will be a lot of people interested, but that is for the owners to decide."

Whoever eventually takes charge at Anfield, Carragher is warning that there is no shortcut back into title contention.

He continued: "I don't think we are the type of team that could just go out and spend £200million like Manchester City or Chelsea can. We have to build a little bit slower than that. The next stage for us is to get into the Champions League, but that will happen.

"Liverpool fans probably don't want to hear it, but it is an achievement getting into the top four. It is different to what it was a long time ago. At the moment I don't think the title is in everyone's mind, I think top four first."

The veteran defender also reiterated his disappointment at the sacking of Dalglish.

"He knows better than me that when results aren't going as well as the owners would like the manager pays the price," he said. "But we are all in that together really.

"It is the squad which hasn't done it for him really, unfortunately, but the manager carries the can."

Was it the one where they were asking people who should be the next manager?

Exactly. The players like this pathetic mentality as it gives them an excuse to hide behind. Its not good enough, if thats all he's aiming for then he should quit now and let the club move forward without him

He's just trying to dumb down expectations so that his inclusion in the team looks less out of place.

was it something to do with barretts reaction to kenny getting sacked ?

I read something about them canvassing opinion for a fun board or something but im not certain either.

he's saying that in order to succeed you have to take one step at a time. i'd have thought that was obvious.
