Lots of stuff about a Rafa approach emerging now, sounds as though he'll get the chance to put his case anyway, not sure about him being added to the list by way of Rogers declining a chat though, doesn't sound promising as regards his chances of getting the job if that part is true, hope his interview technique is good.

Red alert: Sir Alex Ferguson was apparently taken to hospital last night

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was reportedly rushed to hospital with a suspected heavy nose bleed last night.

The Reds legend, 70, had been due to speak at a celebratory dinner in Glasgow to mark the 40th anniversary of Rangers’ Cup Winners’ Cup Final win against Moscow Dynamo.

He was apparently taken from the £75-a-head event at the Thistle Hotel to the hospital as a precautionary measure before being discharged when doctors decided it was not serious.

A Manchester United spokesman told The Sun: “There was a minor problem but he is at home resting with a bottle of whiskey and is fine.”
