In so many ways this club is a perfect fit for avb because its a youthful team with talented players. If avb took over I reckon he would do well as long as he could get rid of carra and gerrard immediately.

We would need someone with him who could be gentle with players because avb has the tact of a ten dollar hooker.

I cannot recall where I read it..but Roma are interested in AVB and plan to open discussions soon too..IIRC Roma are owned by a former FSG

I hope Capello is just there to make up the numbers.

I would hope that AVB has learned through his Chelsea experience that the old guard in any team shouldn't be swept aside so quickly, & that they can play a vital role.

If he came to LFC i could understand Carra being benched for good, but a fully fit Gerrard in an offensive role (which he hasn't been able to do) can still offer us so much.

Ah man i swear these android phones with their stupid touch screens are incredibly annoying. I have typed some really weird **** to people at times

People are so quick to spot typos on EST that i just don't bother changing them anymore haha

Lets just take Kenny back and then next Summer if we have not won the league we bring in Pep. Sorted.

Either that or bring Rafa home.

                          It won't be either mate.

For me the choice is either AVB or Martinez if AVB turns us down.

All the 'FSG are this and that if they don't talk to him'. Maybe they have their reasons? I know he did all of the above, but again, if one person even dares mentions the stuff at Inter or his last season with us, they instantly a WUM who has been reading fed Sky agenda bollocks.

I've no beef with the man. It's this bizarre zombie-like 'It must be Rafa, no one else but him' that I have the beef with. I can't enjoy a discussion about him without someone just chipping in with 'I wish he was here.' Even Kenny Dalglish's reign was dogged with it. I mean, Kenny Dalglish! If he got those kind of comments, then what hope does any future manager stand?

I commented a while ago that he has the same effect on fans as Mourinho does at Chelsea. The next manager doesn't stand a chance IMO.

We are becoming the new Chelsea, but it's because of the above. We'll get Martinez or Villas Boas and when we're 7th in the table in October, the comments will be back 'We should've had Rafa'.

I wish he'd just get a job at a different club and then come back later on if there is a vacancy. Otherwise, it's just going to hang over every manager onwards because they aren't Rafa.

I wouldn't call some of the stuff I read idolising. I'd call it a cult following. I've said I've witnessed it from personal experience and that's why I react strongly with it. Nothing personal with anyone or with Rafa.

It seems mad they sacked Kenny with nobody even close to being lined up... The longer this goes on with more managers saying they aren't interested, well. Well. Well its embarrassing isn't it. getting turned down by Brendan Rogers, is like getting turned down by a the nerdy girl at school, who you only approached for a dare, or because you thought she'd feel better about herself. Its just not becoming of a club of our stature.

So just get Rafa in, give him a 2 year contract and if it doesn't work out sack him.
If we become a club that changes manager every couple of years until we find the right one, big ****in deal. The longer this goes on he is likely to be the only one interested anyway. Him and Martinez, for some reason I reckon if AVB was interested then we'd have employed him already. He's hedging his bets, waiting to see if a better offer comes along.

Personally I think Rafa would work out, I know some people don't rate him and think anyone who does is a deluded fool.

Martinez would be a disaster, he is not ready for us, a good coach, but not ready for us yet.We want to be in the top 4 remember, not 8th again. Martinez hasn't worked at anywhere near our level. And nobody else wants the job. So give it to Rafa, or get Kenny back
