It's a bit weird this whole process innit? It seems Ayre is consulting a few people to make this appointment as we don't even have 'football' people at the club anymore (bar Segura and the likes) as they've all been sacked.

So basically, of all this is dependent on a few outside consultants who maybe don't even give a **** about LFC (apart from the fact they're paid for advising).
    Are we winning?

I'm beginnig to wonder if it's all down to Martinez and Rafa only.

FSG sitting on a 'new direction' option or 'hungry old guard that will also appease fans' type thing.

So many in the press and in the twitterverse claim to 'know', I don't think we know ****...

I think any thoughts of appeasing fans would have disappeared given their belief that KD was not the man..

Unless they're in the rabbit from hat business - it seems completely insane.

FSG have no intention of appeasing any one but themselves - make no mistake.

is probably the most accurate statement in this thread.

I can understand that but, they don't need another 'Roy' situation on their hands either...

To be fair, FSG will never have an opportunity like this to stamp their authority on the structure of the club again.

Or at least, I hope not.

Working from the top, down, I don't think they can go back to Rafa - it will be a clean break, fresh from nostalgia, history or whatever.

                Make or break time.

Rafa is a no go. It'll be an appointment made for us to 'go forward' not back, as Ayre intimated. We can forget Rafa.

Yeah, your probably correct, it coincides roughly with Maureen's touchline antics at OT, so makes sense.

Why can't Rafa take us forward? Just because he used to manage us? That's stupidly stupid stupidity!!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

It's an odd stance on that basis alone i totally agree, it's like saying...If Fergie had retired during his time at utd...but wanted to manage them again at a time they need a new manager, they say no...you've done it once.

without trying to panic you - i had it on good authority that Moyes's CV was in before we took on Hodgson and it was seriously considered and very close to being accepted with one board member in particular really pushing it

that board member is no longer at LFC, but i wouldn't be surprised if moyes was in the mix somewhere
