Ayre is in another major decision making role now.
Not a chance of Rafa coming back, if rumours of their relationship are true..

What are FSG doing? - rather than one superman ie Rafa, running the team FSG want a team to do the same job.

Their aim is to create a machine that is not dependable on one part, so if any certain part breaks (resigns) the machine keeps running.

I think we will end up with someone like Martinez working along side Clarke and a DOF, almost working like a partnership.

If we had Rafa as manager, he has full control of the team, and say 5 years down the line, there is a row and he is sacked/resigns? We are back to square 1 and we have to rebuild again.

FSG will try to avoid this by employing a lower key tripod like management structure and if one member drops out, no big deal. Again the machine goes on.... Good thinking, but will it work?!

            It's called a promotion.

We just chose to ignore him as the person making up the list was the same one that contributed to his exit.
Mossy, I am not disagreeing with you. I am just stating the facts in the cold light of day. We are not an attractive proposition for managers.

So Hogan will just 'move'. Fascinating development.

@SoloSoldado: @JimBoardman The Billy Hogan news is inaccurate. He works on behalf of Liverpool Reds not us. Back to the drawing board http://t.co/ra2Wp0uX

If he was doing such a great job, give him a pay rise, don't move him to a new job that he could bollocks up. Its a ****ing big job for him to be cutting his teeth on, I said from day 1 I'll be worried about this club if Ayre is making the big decisions. Right now, I'm worried. Rightly or wrongly.

If Lfc isn't an attractive proposition for managers, then the only conclusion i can come to is that in the Premiership, the only attractive clubs to managers are.. City, Chavski, UTD ?

Why let that get in the way of the ayre witchhunt. It's brilliantly funny watching people get upset over the bloke just because he was deemed instrumental in rafa getting the old heave Ho. Most of us have no idea what he does or whether he does it well. It used to great worrying about the players and the manager. now we have opinions on the pr guy, the commercial director, the chairman, the ditectors, the kit man etc etc
