So Martinez couldn't make the step up, but Guardiola could make the step down? Martinez wouldn't be able to take on a new challenge, but Guardiola could? I would argue that Martinez has had a much tougher job on his hands than the manager of ****ing Barcelona!
Everything I said about Guardiola is tongue in cheek, but some of the comments regarding Martinez here have been ridiculous. In my opinion Martinez would be better than most think and Guardiola would be worse. I'm happy with my logic and I'm sticking to it.
Really do not like the way his name is continuing to be bandied about even after his 'refusal'.
I've changed my mind on him after reading the thread on RAWK, theres some really interesting stuff but then I'm fickle like that! Still would rather not have him mind but I wont be gutted like I was when he was first linked.
if we appoint the likes of martinez or rodgers ....then say goodbye to the likes of pepe, suarez and a few others and we'll soon end up like aston villa
Rodgers would be the worst of the lot for me - he just took on Martinez's good initial work at Swansea and was able to build on it. He was a miserable failure at his previous clubs so why take such a gamble on that. At least Martinez hasn't 'failed' yet at Swansea and Wigan.
****ing hell. Mustering enthusiasm for next season is looking like it'll take a Herculean effort.
Rodgers FFS!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

at least he's tried on several occasions to get relegated
