Or, maybe the players at Wigan are actually better than they look/have been, and he only got the best out of them in the last few games.

Glass half full/empty situation really, we just don't know, which is why it's a bit worrying what the outcome of all this will be, but i think whoever they hired it would still be a nervous time for fans.

      It's a very important appointment.

That would have been the kind of joke that would have brought out the Lolrus but not these days

At halftime in the Norway game I was gonna joke that this Hodgson fella looks like a good prospect for Liverpool manager............then I watched the second half and remembered how **** and clueless he is.

Gone past caring who the manager is and where they come from and what they have done.
Does not matter who we get, there will not be some but many who will be lining up to have a pop at the manager. It could well be Bob, Shanks or Fagan and people will still have a pop.

Louis Van Gaal met with Ian Ayre in Portugal on Thursday at his house in Albuferia.

The Telegraph report that and also say that FSG were interested in appointing Roberto Martinez to replace Comolli as DoF when DC was sacked.

Seems like Van Gaal will be hard to keep away from the dugout as he wants to appoint Frans Hoek, who was Reina's goalkeeping coach @ Barca

Telegraph also says that Liverpool are contemplating appointing a technical director as well as a sporting director, likely to be Pep Segura

I'd much rather van Gaal than either Brendan or Bob.

I reckon he would be a decent appointment, could really get the ball rolling so to speak.

And at least he has a pedigree rather than these average or one season wonder ******s.

Superb pedigree, he's a proven winner. So what if he's a cunt/nutter/both. He'd have big pulling power and would be an appointment out of the top drawer.

Would be a far safer bet for the short term.

I'd be well chuffed with van Gaal. Especially with the other names being branded around.
