Its an absolute disgrace. To not even talk to the guy and see what his thoughts are is just wrong. Ayre is a total bollocks. For all we know, Rafa is quite happy to work either as or under a DOF. I really, really hope the yanks pull something out of the bag here. Very nervous.

Could be they just want to start a fresh, clean the slate and build from there. That could well include a decision not to go back to a manager sacked just 2 years ago. They have fired most of the leading members of the footballing side of things, so that's a pretty good indication it's what they are doing.

If that's the decision then why should they interview Rafa for anything other than satisfy some strange obsession that they have to at least hear his ideas? We don't really know the owners plans but I strongly believe they want to install new faces on a lot of fronts, and it will be a waste of everybody's time interviewing past employees if the case.

To be honest, I am trying not to be negative, but I am really worried by the fact that there is no-one with footballing credentials at the club making these huge decisions ... Apart from the fact that our debt has been reduces, everything is far too similar to May/June 2010, when Purslow was playing real life Football Manager ...

Well, FSG seem to like very much the model and the people (McParland, Segura, Borrell) that Rafa has employed at Reserves/Academy level, so they should have at least considered him for the Director of Football role, instead of going for a problematic character like LVG ...

I know that people like to think positive, and it is nothing wrong with that, but FSG's decisions so far have been questionable, at best ... This is not some baseball franchise ... It is a football club with long-standing and proud traditions and principles, and if they decide to ignore those traditions and principles, there is only one way this entire situation could turn out ...
