Hopefully not ... I could live with Rodgers as our manager, since there is a chance he might turn out well ... Putting Van Gaal above him would be a massive mistake ...

DJ gets a lot of flack but he's been on the ball with the manager situation.

It'll be interesting to find out what the scope of the Sporting Director and Technical Director's roles are, and what effect they have on the Managers responsibilities. I would guess its more of a continental-style Coach rather than a British-style Manager.

Sadly mate it looks like it could come true. Stuck with yet another very average manager.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

Pleased as punch with Van Gaal and Pep.

Rodgers less so but I'm sure he will prove me wrong. Optimism

                      Wrong, wrong, wrong.

                      That's our new dream team.

                      We're back boys!

For those that watched the whole of the MOTD3 clip on Rodgers, he mentioned the lack of training facilities at Swansea and how their players were basically begging neighbouring rugby teams to allow them to train there. He sounded like he and the club deserved better but was very diplomatic and didn't bitch about the owners.

I knew from then that if fully offered he would jump at the chance of managing a £10 million academy as well as training facilities. And players like Suarez, Gerrard, even Sterling. His football philosophy impresses me and his ability to communicate (to the media as well as the players) so well is a big, big bonus.

Roll on the new season!!! I'm officially excited!

Last season we showed ourselves to have all the rapier like incision of a sausage. Both ourselves and Swansea were outscored by Blackburn last season.
A very valid point; for all of Swansea's good work it was mainly across their lines and infront of the opposition. Whilst we tried to work it a *little* quicker, our transitions were poor and matched only by our impotency upfront. It was poles apart from Rafa's time with us, when we sucked it up and countered quickly in zones - something I don't think we'll be seeing again under Rodgers. Although I did enjoy reading about how he split the pitch into seven zones (earlier in the thread and thanks to BeverleyHillsKris).

I do question how he would get the best out of Carroll (if at all) and as previously pointed out in another thread, Henderson should benefit greatly from his (rumoured) appointment.

                              Agreed.

Whilst it's a long-term appointment, I don't think it's quite as innovative as they think it is.
